General Info
In the far north west of the island, the idyllic hamlet of Glendale has a calm and friendly pace of life making this a restful holiday destination. Walks to suit all ages and abilities are on offer straight from your doorstep, enjoy shoreline strolls and have a paddle in the clear water, spot seabirds, dolphins and whales on a ramble to Neist Point Lighthouse, or be rewarded with spectacular views from Waterstein Head. Discover the blood curdling legends of Dunvegan Castle (9 miles) and test your nerve in the creepy dungeons. Bag yourself a munro or two with a bracing hike up Macleod's Tables for panoramic views across the island and take a tour of the famous Talisker Distillery (26 miles) and sample some of their wonderful whisky. Nestled into the hillside and surrounded by open countryside dotted with white washed crofter's cottages and grazing livestock, your rural retreat sits in a slightly elevated position offering fantastic views across the fields and farmland. Follow the driveway through the gardens and park next to your imposing holiday home. Step through the front door into the spacious entrance hall where there is plenty of space to hang up your coats and leave shoes and walking boots. Leave keys and wallets on the hallway table and head through into your inviting living room. Comfortable sofas invite you to sink into them, put your feet up and relax with a glass of wine in the evening. Play a family board game on the coffee table or light the wood burner and sit and chat late into the evening. For family movie nights, get the popcorn ready and head into the TV room. Gather together in the spacious kitchen/diner that stretches the length of the house, making this perfect for social mealtimes. Cook up a storm in the stylish contemporary kitchen that comes equipped with everything you could require, including double electric oven and electric hob, fridge, freezer and microwave. To ensure a comfortable stay, a dishwasher and washer/dryer are provided for your convenience. Off the kitchen is a handy utility area and second hallway with more hanging space. The ground floor bathroom with shower over bath and WC is perfect for freshening up after a beach walk or long tramp across the moor. When it's time for slumber, take the stairs to the first floor where you will find four welcoming bedrooms, with comfy beds dressed in crisp linens. Two spacious double bedrooms benefit from light and airy en suite shower rooms and WC. A further two cosy twin bedrooms enjoy wonderful views across the open countryside. Enjoy a soak in the bright and airy family bathroom with separate shower and WC. Outside, your house is surrounded by private gardens looking onto open countryside and rolling hills, pick your favourite spot to sit and watch the sheep grazing in the fields below.
