There are many activities available in the area. Over 50 top golf courses within an hour’s drive. Superb game and sea fishing for experienced and novice alike. An abundance of local tourist attractions and children’s activity centres including water world. Getting There & Local Amenities

Getting There:
Dublin airport is just 20 minutes drive and Dublin ferry port is 40 minutes. Dublin city is a 45 minute drive. Belfast is 90 minutes away. Other ferries are Dun Laoghaire (60 minutes), Larne (2 hours) and Rosslare (3 hours). There are rail and bus Services from Laytown and Drogheda. Guests can be collected from Laytown mainline railway station or Dublin Airport. Hourly Coach Service to Dublin City Centre from just outside The Cottages Runs 6am to 12 midnight 7 day a week.

This picture postcard spacious thatched holiday cottage recently renovated to the highest standard provides luxury accommodation for up to 6 people. There are three bedrooms (one king size master suite, one double and one large twin en-suite). The en-suite bathrooms both have walk in power showers, separate double ended baths and underfloor heating. There is a large open plan lounge with vaulted oak beamed ceiling, feature stone fireplace, solid oak flooring. Stunning sea views from the big bay window complete with window seat. Fully fitted farmhouse pine kitchen (integrated electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher and breakfast bar). Utility room (washing machine,tumble dryer) with separate WC. Gas fired central heating and double glazing throughout.

County Meath and the Boyne Valley located Ireland's East Coast, an area of golden sandy beaches, majestic rivers, canals and lakes encompassing the very heart of Ireland. Royal Meath is steeped in heritage including Bru na Boinne World Heritage Site which predates the Pyramids. We have been running Painting Courses at The Cottages since 1992 that provide a great opportunity for cottage painting and art holidays in Ireland. This area is a paradise for golfers with over 50 golf courses within an hour's drive. A great range of hidden gems both Links and Parkland waiting to be discovered.

Conditions of Rental
A booking for a holiday becomes firm when a deposit of one third of the holiday rental (to the nearest Euro) together with a completed booking form is received by us. The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable not later then ten weeks before the holiday begins. Minimum Stay: 3 Nights Rates all inclusive of Linen, Towels, Heating, Electricity, and Housekeeping (twice weekly).
