With a private courtyard garden with a hot tub and the Suffolk Tourist Route and coastline on your doorstep, this is a perfect choice for a romantic getaway. Winners of a 2022 Visit England ROSE Award (Recognition of Service Excellence).

General Info

One of a private collection of eight dog-friendly holiday cottages (seven of which have private hot tubs) for two, each with a fully enclosed garden, down a leafy lane in the heart of the county just outside the little Suffolk village of Stonham Aspal on the Suffolk Tourist Route. There are lovely walks and cycling straight from the Barns and it is within easy striking distance of the lovely Suffolk Coastal destinations like Southwold, Thorpeness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

The house lies down a country lane on the outskirts of the village of Crowfield, not far from popular coastal destinations like Southwold, Thorpeness, Dunwich Heath, Walberswick, Aldeburgh and Orford. The countryside around here is stunning and the house is surrounded by pretty lanes which you can either explore on foot or on the bikes provided. Some of the best walks start from our door! Alternatively you could go to one of the beaches on this famous heritage coast, or visit pubs, restaurants, deli's, coffee shops and country stores in the nearby villages and towns.

Interior Details
The cottage sleeps two people and is simply oozing character, with its old oak beams and cosy feel.  Downstairs is a large farmhouse kitchen with a range cooker, butler sink and rustic table.  Head through the hall to the spacious sitting room with inglenook fireplace and the dining room ‘snug’.  The staircase leads from the sitting room up to the king size bedroom.  There is also a dressing room, which leads through to the bathroom with a wonderful claw footed roll top bath.  Wifi, TV, DVD, ipod dock and masses of CD’s DVD’s and books included.

Exterior Details
The cottage has a fully enclosed private courtyard garden which has a fabulous ‘indoor-outdoor’ room with a luxury hot tub, charcoal BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco dining.  Bikes are provided free of charge for you to enjoy exploring the local lanes during your stay.  There is a fully secure two acre meadow for our four-legged guests to run around and play with each other, along with seating for the two-legged guests to chat as well! There’s a smaller section inside for nervous or older dogs to exercise on their own.

Conditions
2 or 3 night weekends from Fridays, 4 night midweek breaks from Mondays, and 5 night midweek breaks from Sundays, as well as full weeks and longer, from any of those days. Contact us if you would like anything different.  Up to three dogs per cottage are welcome.  There’s an additional fee of £15 per dog per stay (to cover our strict maintenance and cleaning regime and keep the barns spotless!) This will be added during the booking process.  Breakfast basket included (as well as some treats for your four legged friends!).  Optional extras available include a luxury deli hamper, champagne and chocolates, and beauty treatments - enquire for details.
