It is a glorious base for larger families or groups of friends looking to explore the northern parts of the Lake District as there are miles of stunning woodland walks to discover, with charming villages and pubs along the way. Sailing is available close by. The bustling town of Penrith is to the north (9 miles), with the peaks of Little Mell Fell and Great Mell Fell to the west, and the Aira Force Waterfall to the south, (5 miles). Explore the local market town of Keswick, a short drive away (under 15 miles), with fantastic eateries, a friendly ambience and a never ending list of things to do and experience.
