Within the east wing of a beautiful listed country house, this charming upmarket apartment, with its unusual pitched wooden ceiling, offers a cosy ambience, stunning views and rural tranquillity. Come and settle in and let the peaceful surroundings work their magic.
Full of antique furniture, lovely pictures and character, not to mention everything you could need to make this feel like a real home-from-home, the East Wing at Noddsdale is a quiet and comfortable haven where you can relax and recharge your batteries or explore the wonderful Ayrshire and Argyll countryside.
Noddsdale is surrounded by woodland full of birds and wildlife and the views from the hills are stunning so make sure you bring boots for walking. The all-weather tennis court in the garden is a great place to let off steam or you could hire a bike and pedal the 11 miles around the Isle of Cumbrae. There are numerous golf courses in the local area or why not try pony trekking or off-road driving? And on the water you can sail, windsurf, dive and spot marine animals. If you’re into history and culture, explore the magnificent Culzean Castle, Dumfries House near Cumnock and magical Mount Stuart House on the Isle of Bute. Alternatively, take a day trip to Largs, Argyll, Arran or Glasgow.
Largs is a bustling town at the north end of the Ayrshire coast and is accessible by train and bus, although, as Noddsdale is slightly out of the town, a car is the most practical form of transport! Both Glasgow and Prestwick Airports are within an hour's drive, there is a regular train service from Glasgow Central, and buses run from Glasgow and Ayr and stop in the town centre. There are plenty of taxis in the town, including some that do airport runs.
