A delightful four bedroom Georgian townhouse in the pretty town of Crickhowell in the beautiful Usk Valley in Wales. Close to the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons National Park, and with shops, cafes and attractions on your doorstep, it’s a wonderful choice for a holiday with family and friends.
Crickhowell is a picturesque town nestling in the beautiful Usk Valley and lying to the south of the Black Mountains, the eastern range of the Brecon Beacons National Park. The town and its surrounding villages have attractions that are enticements for all visitors to this wonderful corner of Wales.

The cottage is a two minute walk to the independent shops and many good pubs and restaurants in Crickhowell. It's a short walk down to the River Usk and the waterside meadows, and there are footpaths in and around Crickhowell and neighbouring Llangattock. Close by are the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons, as well as the River Usk. Outdoor enthusiasts will love the fishing, canoeing, climbing, golf, hang gliding, horse riding and mountain biking. The cottage is near the most famous caves systems in South Wales Ogof-y-Daren Cilau and Ogof Agen Allwedd but access is only with permission and a key. This is also a very popular area for climbers in the old quarry again further up the hillside.

The house has four bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people. The basement kitchen has been opened up to ensure plenty of light. There is underfloor heating under the original flagstone floors. There’s a long table for dining. The kitchen is well equipped including electric double oven range cooker, gas hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and coffee machine. At the back of the kitchen there is little games room with an air hockey table. There are two comfy sitting rooms with sofas and chairs on the ground floor each with original oak floorboards. Both have TV with Freesat. One has a wood burning stove and looks out to the garden. The other has a Georgian fireplace. There is a downstairs cloakroom. Up one flight of stairs to two king size bedrooms (one with additional single bed) and a bathroom with roll top bath. A further flight of stairs takes you up to the other two bedrooms, one super king and one family room (super king and double day bed) with gorgeous views over the rooftops towards the Black Mountains. There is a large shower room on this floor. There is a selection of toys, DVD’s and books for young children in the house.
There is a small garden with a terrace, garden furniture and a BBQ. The house has two original outbuildings which have both been put to good use - one with utility room and one with an additional luxurious shower room. There is parking for up to 3 cars.
Linen, towels and central heating included. Logs provided for the wood burning stove. Cot and highchair available. Wifi. Sorry, no pets. £250 refundable security deposit required.
