Overlooking the beautiful Axe valley and just 2 miles from the stunning Jurassic Coast, this detached house in Dorset enjoys space and comfort on the inside and magnificent open views on the outside. It’s the perfect setting for a family get-together.
From its secluded and elevated position, it feels like this house is in a world of its own, and yet the coastline, the local village of Axmouth and the town of Lyme Regis are all within easy reach. The house itself is ideal for large groups, with plenty of bedrooms and living spaces for everyone to spread out into. The large landscaped gardens and terraces offer a place to play and sunbathe when the sun is shining. And the nearby area is full of pubs, walks and beaches to discover. Where better to enjoy a traditional seaside holiday?

The sea is less than 2 miles away and the whole area is full of lovely walking routes which take in the countryside and coastline. There are good local pubs in the nearby villages of Axmouth and Colyford, and Lyme Regis, with its independent shops, abundant eateries and pretty promenade, is 5 miles from the house. You could also take a day trip to Sidmouth, 10 miles to the west, or to the market town of Axminster, home to the famous River Cottage.

On the ground floor there is an entrance hall, a lounge with a flat screen TV/DVD player, a dining room that comfortably seats 14, a well-equipped kitchen/breakfast room and a utility area. There is also one twin bedroom and a shower room on this level. On the first floor there are five further bedrooms (some en-suite) in a variety of shapes and sizes and a family bathroom.
In front of the house there is a large landscaped lawn as well as a sun terrace complete with garden furniture and a BBQ.
No smoking. One small well-behaved dog will be considered during the low season (at a charge of £25 per week). Changeover day is normally Friday but short breaks are available. Please note that there is a covered pool in the garden which is not in use. A £200 refundable security deposit is required.
