Just 100 yards from the market place of a charming Cotswolds town, Wool Cottage has been beautifully restored into a light, spacious, comfortable and welcoming retreat. It’s a delightful base from which to explore this famously picturesque part of the world.
Tastefully and sensitively renovated with space for up to 5 people, Wool Cottage is a lovely little hideaway for families, couples and groups of friends wanting to discover what the Cotswolds have to offer. Inside you will want for nothing, moments from the door there are all the amenities you could need, and out in the countryside you will find unspoilt landscapes, chocolate box villages, walking trails, historic sites, farmers’ markets and rural events. If you’re looking for an escape from the rat race this could be it!
The Cotswolds are a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Fairford is one of its quintessential market towns. Famous for the church and its 15th century stained glass windows, Fairford is full of places to eat and shop, and within easy driving distance are the Roman town of Cirencester, the spa town of Cheltenham and scenic Tetbury. Out and about, walks and cycle routes abound and tourist attractions include Westonbirt Arboretum, Sudeley Castle and Slimbridge Wetlands Trust. And the Cotswolds plays host to lots of events throughout the year - Cheltenham Gold Cup, The Royal International Air Tattoo, Badminton Horse Trials, Gatcombe Horse Trials and Cheltenham Literary Festival to name but a few. The Cotswold Water Park is full of wildlife and offers outdoor pursuits like angling, snorkeling, wakeboarding, water skiing or swimming, and don’t forget to sample some of the gorgeous village pubs in the local area.
