One-Off Feature

A former hotel and pub, Mountain View now offers self catering accommodation to groups of up to 59 in 16 separate bedrooms.  It’s superbly positioned in an elevated position on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park, and in the heart of the popular North Wales town of Penmaenmawr, well known for its walking and cycling opportunities.  A fabulous venue for a group get together.

General Info

Across the road from Mountain View is a parade of Victorian canopy-covered shops and a restaurant, and further along the road you will find more restaurants, takeaways, supermarkets and a couple of village pubs, along with several golf clubs within a short drive. You can easily walk to the famous Fairy Glen waterfall via the North Wales Path which runs past the property.  The Wales Coast Path passes within quarter of a mile, leading to sandy beaches, cycle paths, walks to Conwy and Bangor, and numerous sailing and watersports opportunities. There is an abundance of activities in the area including the High Ropes tree adventure centre, Zip World with the longest zipwire in Europe and Bounce Below with its underground trampolines stretched over former slate caverns.  Shops and pub 1 min walk.  Beach 10 mins walk.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Nestled on the North Wales coast between Llanfairfechan and Conwy, Penmaenmawr is an old quarrying town.  It has retained much of its Victorian architecture, has mange pubs, restaurants and shops, as well as an excellent golf course and golden sandy beaches.  As it is set on the side of the Tal-Y-Fan mountain, many parts of Penmaenmawr and its sister village Dwygyfylchi have stunning views across Conwy Bay to Llandudno, Anglesey and the Irish Sea.  If you are lucky, you might even see dolphins playing in the bay. A cycle path leads along the coastal path to Conwy Marina to the East, and Llanfairfechan to the west. Or, head up the Conwy valley through the Sychnant Pass on to the mountain trails.  The sailing club in Penmaenmawr welcomes day guests, as does the 9 hole golf course, set amongst stunning coastal scenery on the lower slopes of the village. On the promenade there are numerous activities included a skate park, bowling green and all weather tennis courts as well as a beach café in the summer.
