This 200 year old luxury stone house on unspoilt Vis Island, Croatia is in the centre of the quiet pretty Venetian village of Kut. This part of Croatia is simply stunning. You can be in the sea 3 minutes after leaving your front door, and are surrounded by all amenities including grocery store, bars, cafés and many of the best restaurants on the island. Open air cinema, pizza house, etc are 15 mins walk.An excellent yoga teacher is within 1 min, with masseuse 20 mins along the promenade in Vis town.
The island of Vis is situated in the middle of the Adriatic Sea. The house was refurbished in 2006 and is kept to a very high standard. In 2017 the house was used for several weeks by the crew of Mamma Mia 2, which was being filmed in the surrounding area. It is perfectly situated for a relaxing villa holiday in Croatia for 4-6 people. It is situated in the centre of Kut village at the far end of Vis bay with charming walks to Vis town and various beaches. Diving pick up point, sailing and cycling all on your doorstep.
The house is 1 minute from an ice cream parlour, 4 of the best restaurants & bars on the island, the riva (waterfront promenade) for a quick dip to cool off, village shop, small market, etc, and scuba diving pick up. In a 20 minute walk you can get to Grandovac beach (with a bar offering snacks and drinks), an open air cinema, theatre, museum, pizza and other restaurants. Car, scooter and boat hire is easily available locally, and recommended for a day or two to explore the island’s many beautiful coves, beaches, restaurants, vineyards, herb gardens, and fragrant hills abundant with flora & fauna. There is a regular bus service to Komiža from Luka (ferry port) – 25 mins walk. This is a must-do outing as it is the gateway to the renowned Blue Cave which you must not miss. Being a working fishing port it has a totally different atmosphere to Vis, and locals speak a different and similarly indecipherable dialect of the Croatian language! It has some good restaurants and two beaches (at either end of the village).
