Perched in a secluded meadow looking over the stunning Conwy valley this hilltop hideaway is more of a five star hotel suite than a forest lodge. A handsome hideaway just for two located in a fairy-tale wooded copse, perched high above the lush Conwy Valley. Offering jaw-dropping views over the majestic peaks of Snowdonia, this little love-nest was described by The Independent newspaper as ‘possibly the best log cabin in Britain’.
The luxury-laden bolthole is a pleasure to find; a short drive leads you through the ruggedly handsome Welsh hillside where bluebells grow in the spring and gorgeous views are a guaranteed all year round. When you reach the prettiest point, you’ll see High Cabin. Tucked away in a secluded and sunny corner, the secret retreat overlooks the ancient woodlands, rolling valleys and the peaks of Snowdonia. You’ve arrived.
The High Cabin commands a dashing hillside position near the historic town of Conwy. Pack country clobber and binoculars – the woodlands immediately surrounding the cabin are laced with winding lanes and tracks, and there’s even a hidden lake – if you choose to discover it. And for when you are feeling sociable? There are many pubs and restaurants in the nearby towns of Conwy, Llandudno, Llanrwst and Betws y Coed, just a short drive away.
Even though it’s out of the way, the Cabin is not too hard to find once we send you the map!

The cabin has a very comfortable lounge, fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso coffee and dishwasher. A king sized bed with Egyptian cotton sheets, Hungarian goose down duvets and heavenly mattress toppers is ready when you are and we provide all of the towels that you may need along with luxurious Temple Spa toiletries, fluffy bath robes and slippers. The kitchen is well stocked with all the mod cons including a dishwasher. The sitting room is comfy and has a DVD player with a stash of DVD’s to choose from for a cosy night in.
Outside, there’s a decked, heated veranda kitted out with lighting and a table and chairs – just made for alfresco lunches and after-dinner nightcaps under the stars. Better still, this is where you’ll find High Cabin’s crowning glory: an outdoor hot-tub with, quite possibly, the best views in Wales. Heated to a soothing 37°C, it’s a lovely spot for sunset-watching, star-gazing and drinking Champagne – all year round.
We pride ourselves on personal service and attention to detail and we are sure that you will enjoy a uniquely memorable experience. If you are planning a special occasion please just let us know, we are happy to arrange (almost) anything, be it your favourite Champagne and flowers on arrival or something far more unusual (we can really go to town for honeymoons!) please just ask.
