The house is set in a quiet, picturesque settlement of painted wooden homes, just minutes from the centre of Aviemore village, the capital of Scottish skiing and the hub of the famously beautiful Cairngorm National Park. Whether you want to ski, snowboard, mountain bike, climb, sail, canoe, hill walk, shoot, fish, horseback ride, play golf and go bird-watching, or you simply want to relax and revel in the beauty of the mountains and lochs around you, No10 is the ideal base. And you may be in the remote heart of the Highlands, but you don’t have to feel disconnected if you don’t want to – the house is equipped with all the technology you could possibly want for work or play. This is a lovely holiday house, whether you want to get out and get the adrenalin pumping or settle down in front of a log fire with a good book.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

This part of Scotland is heaven for outdoor lovers. The Landmark Forest Adventure Park is just 15-20 minutes away by car, as are the Loch Morlich Watersports Centre, the Strathspey Steam Railway, the Cairngorm Reindeer Herd, the Funicular Railway and the Cairngorm skiing centre. There is a huge variety of excellent golf courses in the region, there are numerous excellent mountain bike tracks, water sports from sailing and windsurfing to canoeing and kayaking are on offer, and the bird watching and fishing around here is excellent. Keen walkers will be in heaven, whatever your ability and energy levels - topography ranges from wild arctic tundra on the mountains to ancient pinewoods lower down in the glens so the scenery is always breath-taking when you explore on foot. From horse riding to snowboarding and quad biking to grouse shooting, there is something for absolutely everyone. There are also lots of good eateries in the local area – try the Old Bridge Inn, La Taverna and Papa Rock.
