This is a paradise in Provence set in six acres of tranquil grounds. Nestled amongst the serene foothills of St Barthelemy, surrounded by sprawling hilltops and spectacular untouched nature far as the eye can see, lies Lei Chambris. The main house has five bedrooms and can sleep up to 10 people. Guests also have the use of the self contained poolside studio (sleeps 2) and there's a tipi on site set over a little stream which is a wonderful meditation space or children's play area.
Enjoy traditional Provençal living in this charming farm house. There is a shared living room with wood burner and comfy sofas to relax on and watch television. Large fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with open fireplace and pantry/utility room leading off kitchen. Adjoining conservatory/dining room. Lei Chambris is a place for relaxation, but if you want to get active then lots of activities can be arranged. There are wonderful walks to suit all levels, taking you through some of the most spectacular countryside in Provence. Maps and guides are available and cycles and mopeds are available for hire. Guided cycle tours also available. There are many activities at the stunning Gorge du Verdon including hang gliding, white water rafting, kayaking and trekking or canoeing and windsurfing can be sampled at the immense Lac de St Croix. Horse riding can be arranged at various local stables and tennis can be played at nearby Villecroze. There are many golf courses that accept visitors within a 50km radius. At Chateau de Berne, try your skills at quad biking, or for the more adventurous, there is an outdoor assault course. Wine tasting can be organised at several local chateaux.
By air, Nice, Marseille and Toulon/Hyeres, are all approximately 1.5 hours’ drive away. Car hire is recommended. There are various car rental companies at the airports. Airport pick-up can be arranged, please contact us for prices. By train, the Eurostar runs to Lille where the TGV can be taken to Les Arcs, 20 minutes’ drive from Lei Chambris. Farmhouse has 5 bedrooms – 3 doubles and 2 twins – and 3 bathrooms. It has a vast kitchen with an open fireplace, a large elegant living room with doors leading onto the terrace, a stunning dining conservatory and a study with a good selection of books and WiFi. There is a choice of British Sky TV and Regional European satellite options, a stereo and a DVD player with a large collection of DVDs. There is also Wifi access. Also for your use is a self contained poolside studio which can sleep 2 people and has its own kitchen facilities and private bathroom.
Outside you will find a 15m x 7m swimming pool, a boules terrace and a large lawned area for badminton/croquet. There is a tipi in the grounds which is a great spot for some meditation or for the children to play in.
Lei Chambris can offer a variety of interesting courses and activities including yoga, pilates, cookery, hiking, cycling, french lessons and pottery. Lei Chambris is just 2km from the charming medieval villages of Villecroze and Salernes and a few km from Tourtour in the unspoilt region of Provence. Villecroze is a tiny village full of charm where time stands still. Stroll through the old walled medieval village and visit the caves in the picturesque formal gardens. Salernes is home of the terracotta tiles still manufactured here today and you can visit delightful showrooms, sample the Provençal way of life and wander round the market on Wednesdays and Sundays. Tourtour is an artists' colony known locally as 'the village in the sky'. It has truly spectacular views. There are many wonderful restaurants to choose from in the above-mentioned villages and surroundings. Plus, within 40 minutes are the spectacular Gorge de Verdon, the biggest canyon in Europe, and the emerald green Lac de Saint Croix. Only one hour away are the beaches and the glamour of the Cote d’Azur.

Extra cleaning services can be provided during your stay, if required. English and French spoken. We can offer reduced rates for long winter lets. The owner lives nearby and is very happy to help with any queries you might have during your stay. Please note that the accommodation is not suitable for small children as the swimming pool is unfenced and there are streams in the woods.
