And Harris itself is breathtaking in its beauty, wonderfully wild and remote and yet always warm and welcoming. Come and experience this unforgettable part of Scotland for yourself.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Leverburgh is a very small fishing village with a pier for trips to St Kilda and the Shiants and a slipway for the Calmac ferry to the Uists. It also has a post office, a shop, an Outdoor Centre and a pub/restaurant. Harris is an outdoor pursuit paradise, with everything from sea kayaking and sailing to mountain biking and land yachting on offer. The owner of the house runs an outdoor pursuits centre. You could play a round of golf or take a boat trip to the neighbouring islands, or you could try your hand at fishing - there are lots of salmon, brown trout and sea trout in the sea loch in front of the house and in the rivers in the hills beyond. And keep your eye out for the resident wildlife, from otters, seals, whales and porpoises to puffins, gannets and even golden eagles.
