Fleuret Cottage dates back to 1820. Completely renovated it incorporates traditional features such as the original bread oven and stone sink alcove. Nestled at the bottom of the property, it enjoys a completely private garden while benefiting from the beauty of the red sandstone buildings behind, landscaped grounds, meadows and woodlands.
The village of Curemonte dates back to the 11th century and has been honoured with the title of "L’un des plus beaux villages de France". Despite its numerous attractions (3 Chateaux, 3 churches and a market hall), it remains very much a working village, with a post office, bar/tabac and three restaurants. There is also a local farmers market once a week in the summer months. Beaulieu sur Dordogne, just 10 minutes from Curemonte and, as its name suggests, situated on the Dordogne River, is a small market town with many shops, several bars and restaurants and a twice-weekly market. The Benedictine Abbey and Chapelle des Penitents are in the centre of the town, canoes can be hired at the river, as well as boat trips on the traditional "Gabares".
A 15 minute drive takes you to villages, chateaux, caves and of course the Dordogne River. To the west is Collonges-le Rouge and Turenne, a 15th century village. To the south and east is the Dordogne valley. The Chateaux of Castelnau, Belcastel and Montal are all close by, while the citadel of Rocamadour is only 30 minutes drive. For those wishing to explore further afield, the world famous Lascaux caves can be reached in an hour, along with many other attractions of the Lower Dordogne. The Cahors and Bordeaux wine regions are within easy reach. For those seeking more active pursuits, horse riding can be arranged locally, canoeing down the Dordogne River, tennis, bicycles are easily hired, three nearby golf courses, and we can also arrange hot-air ballooning trips. For many, however, the main attraction of the region are the rolling hills, and peace and quiet of our immediate surroundings.

Finally, why not make your holiday as relaxed as possible by taking some of the 'self' out of 'self –catering'. We can organise welcome hampers and pre cooked meals, and are also delighted to be able to offer the opportunity of hiring a gourmet chef to cook for you at home - ideal for special occasions or just to give yourself the night off! To really wind down, we can organize aromatherapy massages from a highly trained English therapist who has been working locally for 13 years. She can either visit you 'at home', or we can book you into her clinic in nearby Brive la Gaillarde. She also offers an exclusive range of hand made body care products.
