The coast stretches from Kotor Bay to the mouth of the Bojana River, which is on the border of Montenegro and Albania. Although the Montenegran coast is rather short and narrow, due to the high mountains immediately behind, the region is both spectacular and diverse and a villa in Montenegro with views of mountains are fairly commonplace. There are some beautiful old coastal towns with walls, ports and fisherman’s houses, some of which are let out for holiday rentals. Kotor itself is a UNESCO world heritage site and is an absolute must for a visit. Aside from Kotor, Sveti Stefan and Budva are both very popular for those in search of a villa in Montenegro and with good reason. For those after a bit of activity, you will find hiking and cycling, as well as watersports galore. Each town tells a story of its own, and each one is bursting with restaurants, cafes and beautiful terraces from where you can admire the views out to sea. Those who get their villa in Montenegro will find that they will be drawn in, and once they’ve experienced it for themselves, won’t be able to help coming back again and again!
