Plum Tree Cottages are converted from 200 year old farm buildings and decorated with glorious Indian textiles. We have complementary therapies available on the premises and if you don't fancy cooking Nick and Zoe will deliver delicious ready to put in the oven meals. We have bikes you can borrow and a short drive will take you to the quaint old port of Whitby.
Steeped in history and dating back to 1685 these former farm buildings retain many original features, beamed ceilings (some quite low) and doors where children's names are still carved from years gone by, all add to the charm and character, yet the whole atmosphere is one of Eastern Promise in this idyllic setting in the heart of North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Plum Tree house was a moorland farmstead now a private house there is access straight onto the moors for walkers and a short walk across field leads to the village pub. For those wanting a less energetic break we offer reflexology, reiki, Indian head massage, ayurvedic facial and aromatherapy massage. If you need to rid yourself of aches and pains then we have Bowen and Emmett therapy available, you can turn your break into a spa break without leaving the cottage.
Plum Tree is surrounded by moorland and farm land excellent for walking, cycling and riding. There are many historic castles, abbeys and stately homes and chocolate box villages. There are lots of characterful country pubs providing excellnet food as well as a wealth of fish and chip restaurants in Whitby.
