Nestled into the mature trees around a peaceful pond, Stour Barn is one of a cluster of delightful cottages where the emphasis is on home comforts and rural living. High vaulted ceilings, exposed oak beams and an open log fire keep things traditional and characterful, while the TV/DVD player, iPod dock and ‘watering can’ style shower provide contemporary touches. And all around you is the beautiful Suffolk countryside, full of quiet lanes, picturesque villages and welcoming pubs. Where better for a romantic break?

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Rural Suffolk is a haven of country lanes, clear skies and wildlife so it’s the perfect destination when you want to escape the hustle and bustle. Walking and cycling are popular here, and activities like sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are available both on and offshore, or if you prefer gentler pursuits there are plenty of medieval buildings and historic houses to explore. The Heritage Coast, just half an hour away, is truly picturesque and has the well-known tourist spots of Aldeburgh, Orford and Southwold dotted along it. Or you could discover the awe-inspiring scenery of Dedham Vale, go shopping in a local craft and farm shop, or sit back in one of the many superb pubs and eateries on your doorstep.

The cottage is 5 minutes from the A140, along the A1120 Suffolk Tourist Route in Stonham Aspal. Go past the Church on your right, the village School & Ten Bells pub on your left, take the first right, signposted Crowfield Church. We are almost a mile down the lane on the right hand side.

Interior Details
You enter into a farmhouse-style lounge/kitchen/diner with a stable door, an antique pine dining table, a squishy sofa and a good selection of mod cons. The living area leads through to a ground floor bedroom with a black iron bed and an en-suite shower room.

Exterior Details
Outside there is an enclosed private garden with a lawn, a BBQ and a patio with a table and chairs. Outside you have a covered garden room with your very own private hot tub. We supply robes and slippers, as well as champagne buckets on stands for that ultimate luxurious touch too. There are also other cottages on site, all of which are set within the trees around a pond and a communal decked area.
