If youre looking for a glamping holiday which fuses the African safari experience with the beautiful British countryside, then Elephant Lodge is the place. The luxury tented lodges overlook the elephant paddocks at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park in Kent and provide a truly unique place to unwind and explore.
Elephant Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy a wild camping experience without having to sacrifice your home comforts or leave the UK! The camp is made up of thirteen luxury tented lodges, nine of which overlook the elephant paddocks and offer stunning views of the cheetah enclosure and across the Romney marsh to the Kent coastline. With well-appointed interiors and a backdrop which offers you the chance to spot African elephants and cheetahs, Elephant Lodge delivers a glamping experience like no other.
When you stay at Elephant Lodge you get free unlimited entry to both Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Parks and you also have access to evening activities like walking tours of the park with a keeper and evening safari tours when the park is closed to the public. The Lodge is also very close to the picturesque Kentish coast and the countys many other attractions.
The park is within an hour of London on the high speed train and is easily reached from the channel ports and Eurostar terminal. The entrance to Elephant Lodge is separate to the Park entrance - directions will be provided in your booking information.

Each lodge sleeps up to 8 people in two double bedrooms, one double sofa bed in the living area and bunk beds in the twin room. The lodges have private toilet and shower facilities and are equipped with a log burning stove to keep you cosy. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. There is a limited power supply in the tents but candles are permitted as long as they are used safely.
Each tent has a verandah from where you can enjoy the views and watch the children playing safely. The tents surround the central Club House Restaurant where guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner.
The central Club House restaurant caters for all tastes with its extensive menus. There are two sittings in the Club House. The first sitting is 17:30 until 19:00 and the second from 19:30 until 21:00. If you wish to book a table we only take bookings for the second sitting.
Conditions of Rental
Entry to both Howletts and Port Lympne is included for the duration of the stay. Guests can choose to explore both parks (included in costs) while they are staying with us. Infants are welcome, however please be aware we do not provide cots or linen. Bath towels, hand towels and tea towels are supplied. Please be aware that due to Elephant Lodges location in the wild animal park, we are unable to accept pets at the campsite. Elephant Lodge is open from Friday 29th March - Sunday 27th October 2013. Stays are 3 nights (Friday to Monday), 4 nights (Monday to Friday) or 7 nights (Monday to Monday or Friday to Friday). Check-in is 4pm. One of the lodges is adapted for disabled access. No smoking is allowed on site.
