Located in the old town of this vibrant city, with panoramic sea, harbour and city views from the top floor living space and large roof terrace, Battery House provides luxury accommodation.

General Info

Battery House is a substantial Georgian property which combines period charm with modern comfort and facilities and offers spectacular panoramic sea views over the Solent and across to the Isle of Wight. Situated overlooking the harbour, of Georgian origin Battery House was completely renovated in 2007, to create a luxury 4 bedroom town house with its roof terrace is in an ideal spot for ship watching. Portsmouth is home to the British Navy and the harbour attracts a wide range of vessels, small and large. The Navy association has also influenced the architecture of the town and the view from Battery House takes in parts of the city defences dating from the 1400s, the Garrison Church and Grand Parade, the original Navy parade ground. The property is arranged over four floors with the living accommodation on the top floor to make the most of the spectacular views.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

Portsmouth is located in the county of Hampshire, very close to the county of West Sussex. Both counties offer numerous historic cities, sea and country attractions and activities for everyone. So either it is history, literature, marine life, retail therapy or nightlife you are interested in, Portsmouth is the right place for you. Children (and adults) will marvel at the amazing marine life of the area and beyond at the Blue Reef Aquarium. From the house an easy stroll will take you to the world's only commercial hovercraft which means that the Isle of Wight is just a 10 minute trip away, where Osborne House - Queen Victoria’s holiday home – is a must to visit. Any visit to the area would not be complete without a visit to one of the UK’s most popular National Parks – The New Forest.
