Set within a cluster of renovated 17th century stone buildings in the heart of a stunning rural landscape, Vionnet is a private split-level suite which is the perfect retreat for families and friends. Inside there are original features in abundance, from the exposed walls and superb beam work to the natural limestone flooring, but you will also find an array of luxurious creature comforts to make you feel pampered. Outside, the garden is an idyllic spot for an al fresco glass of wine, and all around you stretches the tranquil countryside of south west France. Holiday hideaways don’t get much more restorative than this.
The house is situated in the Lot & Garonne region of south west France, just outside the 13th century village of Sainte Livrade sur Lot where you will find bakeries, supermarkets and an assortment of other amenities. This part of the country is known for its beautiful hills and valleys as well as for its sleepy villages and hilltop bastide towns, and life here is all about weekly markets, pavement cafes, wine tasting, antiques fairs, boat trips and picnics on river beaches. The wonderful chateaux of the Dordogne and Bordeaux are not far away, nor are the vineyards of Duras, Buzet, Bergerac and even Saint Emilion. It really is the most heavenly place.

The nearest airports are Bergerac, Bordeaux and Toulouse, and car hire is available at the airport. Detailed instructions can be provided for your route or a chauffeur can be arranged.

Interior Details
The spacious living area has comfortable twin sofas arranged around a ‘Toulouse stone’ feature fireplace and at the far end there is a traditional fully-equipped galley-style kitchen. Up a few steps you will find two double bedrooms (one of which can fit an extra single bed) as well as two bathrooms, one with a fully tiled walk-in shower and one with a bath. L’Occitane toiletries, bath robes and slippers are provided.
Exterior Details
The apartment has a private south facing garden area with a table and chairs and a covered terrace, and there is also a small sunny lawn from where you can enjoy wonderful views over the grounds. In addition the main house is surrounded by 8 acres of landscaped gardens and fields, and there is a gorgeous swimming pool.

Conditions of Rental
A deposit of 30% is payable with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable 20% security deposit is also required. Bookings run from Saturday to Saturday, with check in at 4pm and check out by 10am. No pets and no smoking.
