General Info |
|
| |
'Dar' is an Arabic word for a town house in which a series of suites are grouped around a central courtyard. Each suite is fully independent, but there is a pleasant air of 'sociability' and you will meet the owner and fellow guests on the roof terrace over a glass of wine. The guesthouse is within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, castle, harbour (daily fast ferry to Tangier takes 35 minutes) and the local town beach. Dar Cilla is for discerning travellers who appreciate style, a warm welcome and personal attention from the international staff, and a peaceful atmosphere; it is a very special place in the centre of Tarifa Spain! |

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|

Just make sure you stay long enough to do and see all that Tarifa has to offer – go riding, whale watching, diving, mountain biking, visiting nearby white villages, you name it! There is an extensive folder in each apartment giving you the owners’ personal advice on where to go (and what to avoid!) in and around Tarifa. At your request we can book our private guide and ferry tickets for day-trips to Tangier and Asilah. We recommend an English speaking guide who will make your trip very enjoyable and worthwhile. Trips to Asilah (an artist village 40kms beyond Tangier) can also be arranged with or without guide. |

Exterior Details |
It has a large roof terrace with an interesting collection of sculptures, reclining chairs for the use of guests and a shady bar area. This terrace has a fabulous view over the old town and the busy shipping lane in the Strait of Gibraltar across to the mountains of Morocco. There is a (hot and cold) open shower on the terrace. The roof terrace is a WIFI zone, and there is a large selection of magazines available. The lights and candles on the roof terrace at night as you look across to the twinkling lights along the Moroccan shoreline and on the cruise ships passing by are magical!

What visitors have said about Dar Cilla Guest House |
| |
| |
We came away feeling like Dar Cilla was a brand, not just a lace to stay. Reading all the material and understanding some of the effort and circumstances behind the place creates a kind of bonding that creates a whole different experience compared to some hotels where there is no personality'
