Montenegro

Montenegro has only recently sprung up as a holiday rental destination for people in search of a villa in Montenegro – it became independent from the Union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006 and is working hard to put itself back on the map. With no less than 117 sandy beaches along the Adriatic coast, there is a holiday in Montenegro for everybody. From an inland hideaway or farmhouse, to a beachfront villa or apartment, you’ll find something to suit you and your party.

Coastal - southern

Almost hidden at the south of Adriatic sea in the great mountains of Balkan there is Montenegro coast, one of last untouched, unspoiled jewels of Europe and Adriatic sea. A villa in Montenegro is a wonderful choice for your holiday.

For such a small country, it has a great variety of landscapes and environments. Unsurprisingly, most popular with tourists are the coastal areas, particularly the likes of Budva and Kotor. Budva is known as the ‘Budva Riviera’; here you can find hidden coves, or you can head to a party beach and party the day and the night away - if you feel so inclined... Pick your holiday villa in Montenegro carefully – depending on whether you’re after nightlife, or peace and quiet. The old city of Kotor is a UNESCO world heritage site, and with good reason. Located at the head of Kotor Bay, the city itself has beautiful architecture and numerous cultural and historical sites to visit. You can find a holiday villa in Montenegro (or apartment) in the city itself if you want to experience city life, or pick an apartment or villa with views out over the bay. Inland you can find mountains and lakes, canyons and historic monuments. Although the summers are warm and inland is a haven for hiking and cycling, the winters bring snow and excellent skiing opportunities. The great thing, is wherever in the country you find your holiday villa in Montenegro, you will never be much more than a day trip from everything else the country has to offer.
