The Lodge offers the following facilities for guests: a large infinity pool with swim-up bar, dining areas (inside and out), bar areas (inside and out), inside sitting area with a fireplace, library sitting area, wireless internet, horse Stables/ horseback riding on trails, guided walking, birding and hiking trails through the rainforest, waterfall/ river swimming, laundry Service. In addition we offer complimentary shuttle services to Playa Dominical and area beaches and to local tourist attractions. Shuttle service to airport is also available. |

Getting There:
| We offer San Jose airport pickup. By car: When traveling from San Jose on the Inter-American Highway and you reach San Isidro follow the signs to Dominical. The road heads west over the mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Shortly after you reach the summit and start the descent towards the ocean you will reach Los Chorros Mirador and Restaurant, About 500 meters ahead, turn right then take your first right. We have a large sign at the highway corner and smaller signs to lead you to our property. If you are traveling on the coastal highway from Playa Dominical, travel north. Turn right on the road to San Isidro, which is just past the bridge and the Police Check. By air: The nearest airports are at Palmar Sur and Quepos, both ate about 70 km from the Lodge. |

In the main Lodge building, Magnolia House, there are three uniquely designed suites. We also have a cottage, an exotic jungle cabina and 3 rustic ocean view cabinas. El Cielo and La Heliconia suite offer panoramic ocean and jungle views and large terrace. La Orquídea suite is also on the second level of Magnolia House with river and jungle views from a large terrace. Mono Congo cabin is located above the lodge on the edge of the jungle with access to Magnolia House via a wooden foot bridge. It has an outside shower overlooking the jungle. Amapola Cottage, of Balinese design, is located beyond the infinity pool. It has a separate living/dining/kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom with a garden jacuzzi. Rustic Cabinas, Gavilan, Guaco, and Colibri, are located below Magnolia House on the edge of the jungle with wonderful jungle and ocean views. The cabinas have a unique river stone bathroom and a wooden deck.

The Lodge is surrounded by covered terraces overlooking the ocean, jungle and valleys.
The large infinity pool has a swim-up bar. Gardens around the Lodge and cabins attract several species of birds, especially hummingbirds. Coffee is planted on the slopes below the Lodge. We have a garden where we grow fresh vegetables for our kitchen.

Rio Magnolia does honeymoon / romance and adventure packages as well for those who are interesting in having some excursions included in their stay. For example, a five night honeymoon package (2010 rates are $1299 per couple) includes: 5 nights accommodation in Mono Congo or El Cielo, full Breakfast daily, exquisite 3 course dinners plus a sunset drink with appetizers daily, bottle of Champagne, lunch for 2 in the rainforest, guided hikes through our rainforest and farm, 2 hour horseback ride on our property, complimentary shuttle service to local beaches and San Isidro del General, zip – line canopy tour or guided hiking tour at Hacienda Baru, day tour to Cano Island (snorkelling) or Corcovado National Park (guided hike), half day tour to Ballena National Park with picnic lunch. Conditions of Rental |
Since our Lodge is remote and filled by reservations only, at the time of booking confirmation a non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due 14 days prior to arrival. The deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations in writing 7 days prior to arrival, the balance is refundable but non-refundable if cancelled less than 7 days prior. We want to encourage the quietness and peaceful atmosphere of this paradise, so reservations with children under 14 years old are not accepted. Also the Lodge is surrounded by steep slopes and jungle, which may be dangerous for small children. Also, the pool is deep and located as part of the Lodge building.
