We serve 3 meals a day at the restaurant which is on site. Menus change daily according to what is fresh and available. Fish is always on the menu and all the food is local. We make wonderful desserts with coconuts from the trees at the resort. Continental breakfast is included. |

In a nutshell, we felt that Belize is the "hidden jewel of the Caribbean". Belize enjoys a beautiful tropical landscape, breathtaking views of the Caribbean jungle and mountains, a reef that you must see to appreciate, a climate that is hardly ever disappointing, and a wealth of fascinating Mayan history and ruins left behind intact. Another plus is Belize's close proximity to many beautiful North and South American gateways. The 2nd longest barrier reef in the world off shore is dotted with islands for world-class snorkeling, fishing and scuba diving. Lush rain forests dotted with Mayan ruins are in the "backyard", 30 minutes to the Cockscomb Wildlife Sanctuary where 10,000 acres of rain forest offer walking trails swimming under a waterfall and home to the only Jaguar preserve in the world. We also will be able to arrange all of your tours, both water and land based. |

| Most people fly to our location from Belize City. We can arrange your flight to and from Placencia to Belize City. Alternatively you can drive to the Green Parrot, which is a 3 hour drive from Belize City. All tours provide transportation. |

There are eight cabanas here, each of which is just steps from the Caribbean and the Green Parrot Restaurant. Six of our cabanas are two storey with a queen size bed in the loft. Downstairs you will find a sitting area, bath with shower, and kitchenette. We also have a sleeper sofa, so these units can hold up to 4 persons. The other two cabanas are one storey with a thatched roof and they have an outdoor tropical (enclosed) shower. These units are very popular for honeymoons and anniversaries. All of our units have a deck with hammock. All are located on the beach. All units have hammocks and the bathrooms include hot and cold water. Rooms are cleaned daily. All rooms are decorated with art items from Belize and Guatemala.

The areas surrounding the cabanas are covered with tropical plants and trees. All cabanas are on a white sand beach. You can walk to the restaurant. We provide beach chairs, beach towels, and have a dock for your use.

We are located on the Placencia peninsula. The area is developing, but can still be considered largely undeveloped. We try to give you a tropical experience that reflects the character of Belize. Small, clean, and comfortable cabanas. Easy access to water and land based activities. A high focus on customer service. We are not like some of the newer resorts in the area that are oversized Florida look-alike motels. Our guests prefer the quiet comforts of a small, boutique resort with a high level of customer service. We have a lending library for those that prefer to relax on the beach with a good book, try a cool Belikin beer, or engage in seeing more of the wonders of Belize. We can also arrange your wedding or honeymoon stay at the Green Parrot. We have owned the Green Parrot for just over 10 years, so we know Belize and will make sure that you have a great experience.

We rent the cabanas by the day. Specials are available at different times of the year, and see the pricing table for details on our One Off discounts! Rental requires a one-night non refundable deposit. We can do discounts for large groups or stays of an extended period.

Finally a moment to get back to you. We had a GREAT time at the Green Parrot and couldn't have asked for anything more. Leo is one in a million and the rest of the staff too. The accommodations and all of the help with the wedding was absolutely above and beyond the call of duty. We just can't quit talking about the trip!! As soon as I have time to gather my thoughts on paper, I'll submit a synopsis of our good time with tripadvisor.com. We have finally found time after moving to Vancouver, B.C. to write and thank you for the wonderful time we spent at the Green Parrot in May. We had a wonderful 2 weeks of relaxation in our Green House on the beach. Your staff of Carlina, Lucie, Rueben, Dan and the great cooks were fantastic to us along with
you of course. We loved our bike rides into Placencia along with the bus rides and and of course the cerveza was Darryl's favourite. We are hoping to return to your country in a working capacity. The people of Belize are so friendly and

Spring greetings from New Jersey! It was so nice to meet you in person also. We felt like we almost knew you already from our email "conversations".
