The tree houses have direct access to Lake Baroon and the Great Walk of the Sunshine Coast and in the unlikely event that you want to tear yourself away from your cabin you will find plenty to do in the area. A short stroll from Secrets is Lake Baroon's spillway with fascinating walking tracks down the Obi Obi creek towards the Narrows, where the water has carved a sheer path through the solid rock. There are 58km of bushwalking trails to explore and wildlife in the area is abundant. You can shop in the quaint country towns of Montville or Maleny, go wine tasting, savour some of the area’s fine dining or enjoy a day at the beach at Caloundra or Noosa. Go horse riding at Wattle Gully or Mooloolah Valley, visit the Australia Zoo Reptile Park, swim with seals at Underwaterworld or stroll around the Eumundi markets. Or simply take a leisurely drive through the beautiful countryside. This is a sensational setting for a holiday in a treehouse and there is never a dull moment! |

Getting There:
| From the International Airport at the big roundabout, head left. At the next major roundabout do a right turn towards the Sunshine Coast /Nambour, follow the signs to the Sunshine Coast At the second Exit North of Caboolture to Australia Zoo turn left and continue past Beerburrum, Glasshouse, Beerwah and Australia Zoo until the Landsborough turnoff .to Go left into Landsborough, over the railway line, straight up the range towards Maleny for about 10 minutes. Take the next right turn to Montville and about 10 minutes further on you will take a left turn into Western Avenue just before Montville. About 2.5 kms along turn left into The Narrows Road a steep hill. At the bottom turn left towards the picnic area and you will see our sign “Secrets on the Lake” |

We have different levels of accommodation: luxury tree houses, penthouse tree houses and Secrets, our penthouse. Each hand-carved tree house door entices you into an individually themed magical experience. Once inside, they are all meticulously appointed with extraordinary attention to detail. Each tree house retreat features carved cedar furniture, luxury double showers, kitchen facilities, special home baked treats, toasty log fires, stained glass windows, blown glass lamps and pottery work, sunken double spas, mood lighting and reverse cycle air-conditioning, as well as a TV, DVD, CD systems.

Each of the tree houses has its own private balcony with a gas-fired hand-forged barbeque and a magnificent lakeside panorama. This is the perfect place to watch the sun go down. The cabins have been engineered to provide guests with a secure yet sensuous rainforest experience. They offer total privacy and one is blissfully unaware of other buildings and people whether inside or on the balcony. The walkways, hewn from local logs, are skilfully decorated with whimsical sculptures and artistic carvings of local fauna. The tree houses, nestled on the edge of Lake Baroon in Queensland's Sunshine Coast hinterland, offer you the very best in intimate accommodation at Montville.

As if the prospect of a stay in a treehouse wasn't enough, guests are greeted with a sumptuous champagne breakfast basket containing all a couple needs for up to three mornings. Fresh baked croissants or muffins, hot from the oven, are then delivered on each morning of your stay. There are a number of optional extras on offer during your stay, including picnic hampers or chocolate and cheese platters delivered to your balcony, or luxurious in-house massages. We can also organise flower and petal arrangements and customised honeymoon packages for newlyweds. Please just ask and we will be happy to oblige with any special requirements, if we can. You have full use of our library of games, CDs and DVDs, and are also welcome to use the full sized antique billiard table, canoes and fishing gear. Lake Baroon is well stocked with a variety of fresh water fish and we have a great selection of rods, lures and tackle, and advice to help you catch 'dinner'. Check in time is 1-2pm. Checkout is 10-11am. As we hold your booking in good faith, we operate under a 30 day cancellation policy. To secure your treehouse holiday, a deposit equal to the first night’s stay is required within 7 days. For bookings longer than 2 days an additional deposit is required 30 days before arrival. Transfers and cancellations made up to 30 days before arrival are subject to a $50 cancellation fee. Refunds of cancellations after this time are subject to the tree house being re-let. Guests are responsible for damage, loss or theft from their tree house. Smoking is only permitted on your deck and in the garden. No pets allowed.
