| |
Llys Tanwg makes for a great place for large family gatherings or friends getaways as it has lots of different spaces for everyone to hang out together or take time out to be quiet. There are large gardens, a path down to the beach, a games cabin, all modern facilities, and the most wonderful views of Cardigan Bay and the Snowdonian mountains. It can even function as 2 self-contained flats if you wish, each with it’s own living room (with large TV’s and open fires), dining room, and fully equipped kitchen and wash area.
The property is beautifully furnished with many period pieces, pictures and books galore. It feels like a family home, and most people who come say it's simply the nicest place they've ever hired for a holiday.
Prices quoted are for the whole house. Please enquire for rates if you want to rent the property as individual flats. |

Further Details |
The house has been owned by our family since the 1930s and much loved by four generations. The house is still full of old family furniture, pictures and antique ornaments, including pieces collected around the world by Dr Hewlett Johnson, the ‘Red’ Dean of Canterbury, who originally bought the house. Leaving the house, down a steep zigzag path, the sea can be reached in 5 minutes. It is ideal for children, with rock pools, dunes, and an enormous sandy beach. It is a great swimming beach, in our experience safe even in storms when the waves are really big. The Games Cabin is built in the Scandinavian style of log cabins, and has heat and light, making it the perfect place for children to spend a rainy day, leaving others with the peace and quiet of the house. In addition to a range of puzzles and board games, there is also a full size pool table, table-tennis table (which rests on the pool table, so it is one or the other) and table-football table. It could happily have up to 10 children playing in it at the same time.
