Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|
| |
The villas, although they are surrounded by vegetation and feel totally off the beaten track, are just 4km away from the city centre. Göcek is a delightful fishing and yachting town, located on the South Aegean coast of Turkey, which hosts five significant marinas that service yacht tourism in the region: Club Marina, Skopea Marina, Municipality Marinas, Port Göcek Marina and MarinTurk. The town is characterised by a large and secluded bay which harbours a number of islands and coves and these islands, with their beaches and clear, clean waters, are the perfect destination for seafarers. Göcek is a relaxing and peaceful settlement, but it also offers an array of restaurants, cafes and bars, dotted along the promenade. Nearby, discover the impressive Lycian tombs, spoil yourself with thermal mud therapy and seek out endangered loggerhead turtles. Alternatively enjoy the plethora of water sports on offer, from water-skiing and scuba diving to fishing and boating.

What visitors have said about Dalya Life |

What a wonderful place Dalya Life is. One of my favourite places in Turkey and I would highly recommend staying there. Wonderfully situated with easy access to the airport, Dalya Life is a true oasis of serenity and calmness located in the mountains near Gocek. The rooms are very comfortable and the grounds are stunning. I think the best thing about this family run hotel is the family! Hakan is amazing! They are so welcoming and accommodating and attentive and they go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The food is delicious also!! Every time I go there I feel part of the family. This hotel is perfect to get away from the hustle and bustle of life, the perfect place to relax and unwind. If you are ever in the area do not miss the chance to stay in this beautiful hotel.

Dalya Life is without doubt my most favourite holiday place ever! Fantastic accommodation, wonderfully friendly people, amazing wildlife and tasty homecooked food, all tucked away in a luscious green forest in a valley.
My husband and I stayed at Dalya Life in late September this year, our first trip to Turkey and most definitely not the last! We stayed for two whole weeks which was a perfect amount of time for us to alternate days of exploring the area and chillling out. We flew to Dalaman, hired a car and drove the 20ish minutes to Dalya Life. It's super easy to find and when we got there we were warmly welcomed by Hakan who is the manager. He speaks excellent English and is very knowledgeable about the area. The hotel is run by Hakan and his family as well as other staff who live there, all of whom were so friendly and really looked after us.
We had seen the photos obviously but when we got there we were totally wowed by the setting. There were 11 little villas set in beautiful gardens full of greenery, flowers and fruit trees. It's next to a stream which is full of terrapins and a rather characterful duck. There is so much wildlife; some of the highlights were hummingbirds, preying mantis and a very cheeky cat. We stayed in a normal room for the first part and a suite for the second. Both are really nice though the suite was extra nice and is newer.
Breakfast is traditionally Turkish and includes eggs (from the Dalya chickens), tasty tomatoes (why can't you get tomatoes like that here!), white cheese and other goodies. We had breakfast included but you can also have lunch and dinner. The menu includes meze and main dishes and sometimes there might be a random treat e.g fresh sea bass. We tried quite a few and all are home cooked and really tasty.
Dalya Life is near to Gocek and Hakan drives a shuttle bus to and from the marina at 1000 and 1900 every day so even if you don't have a car you can explore.
We went at a quiet time of year as the season was ending so quite often it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The place has such a tranquil atmosphere though that I don't think it would have mattered if it was full. It was a beautiful time of year to go as it was starting to cool down (though still 30 something degrees) and there was more rainfall including some fantastic evening storms. It's a great place to be when it rains as you can curl up on the deck with a book and a cup of turkish tea and the most amazing smell rises up from the earth and the trees.
Dalya Life was the perfect place to relax, explore Turkey and be close to nature. One month after I'm back I still feel chilled. I think I left a bit of my heart at Dalya Life and I can't wait to go back.
