Our Country Estate is secluded but not isolated. On the hillside just outside the town of Ibi which is famous for ice-cream! Within 35 minutes of Alicante Airport with great selection of low-cost flights. Close to Font Roja National Park, great trekking, biking, horse-riding opportunities nearby. On our own property we have created a natural habitat for wildlife. You can join in the Olive Harvest if you visit over Christmas/New Year or the Almond Harvest at the end of August/beginning September. The first floor has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one family suite with double bed and adjoining room with single bed and cot. The second floor has two double bedrooms and two twin-bedrooms. We believe no-one should have to draw the short straw and sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge! We are prepared to take bookings for individual floors as well as the combination. |

| Vista Alegre is conveniently located near the main road between Alicante and Alcoi. It is an easy 40 minute drive from Alicante airport, served by both BA and BMI as well as low cost carriers (Easyjet and Monarch). The nearest town of Ibi is only a twenty minute walk away (3-4 minute drive). |

Original features have been restored and natural materials used. Wherever possible the walls are part exposed stone and part sand-coloured render combined elegantly with solid wood ceiling beams and tiled flooring capturing the atmosphere of the past. The top floor has a very rustic Spanish look, taking full advantage of the exposed olive wood beams from which it takes its name. It has a glorious dual aspect living/dining room stretching the entire width of the apartment. This first floor has been decorated in typical Mediterranean style, using a signature of local traditional blue tiles throughout. The huge living/dining area boasts beautiful views of the olive groves and almond trees. The interior has been sympathetically restored to retain its traditional charm but offers all the modern facilities required by discerning holidaymakers.

Without even leaving the grounds of Vista Alegre you can choose to rock in a hammock while the scent of rosemary and pine lull you to slumber or grab your binoculars and make tracks to the nature trail in the ravine. All to the background of distant chiming bells courtesy of the local goat herds. The grounds have been maintained as natural pasture, aside from the landscaped area surrounding the south-facing 17x5 metre floodlit pool (which includes a toddler pool). The pool area not only has unbroken sun all day but unparalleled views over the olive groves to the national park beyond. Decorated in Moorish style with a cantilevered roof, the adjacent summer house provides welcome shade. It also incorporates a changing room with shower and toilet facilities along with a luxurious lounging area with minibar. A barbecue/picnic area is provided overlooking the olive grove for alfresco dining and cooking experience.

A unique property one of only fifteen masias, (traditional Spanish farmhouses) Vista Alegre is located along the beautiful scenic route between Ibi and Alcoi in the Vinalopo region. Situated on the outskirts of the charming town of Ibi, with views of the Parc Natural del Carrascar de la Font Roja, this late 19th Century building was lovingly renovated in 2005. Ibi has been populated since medieval times (and has a well preserved medieval quarter) and an 18th century ‘new' quarter featuring the beautiful 19th century Church of the Transfiguration. The surrounding mountains contain ancient snow wells once used to store ice for the local ice cream manufacturing business, a long tradition. There is a wonderful daily indoor food market and a more general outdoor market every Monday. It also has a traditional toy-making industry and has a highly regarded toy museum. Music video shoots have been hosted here and the property can be hired for film or fashion shoots, with or without accommodation included. Please enquire for more details.

Rental |
A “rental deposit” of 30% of the total rent is required on booking. The balance is payable eight weeks prior to the start of the rental period. If the booking is made within eight weeks of the rental period full rental payment is required on booking. A refundable "security deposit" of £350 or €380 must be paid to our House Manager on arrival. Maid service weekly. Linen and towels changed weekly. House manager on call. House maintenance on call. Comprehensive house and local information book. Welcome pack on arrival including essential basics (milk etc.). Full terms and conditions provided on request. With the exception of Christmas and New Year, Vista Alegre is closed during the months of December, January and February.

My husband and I just want to thank you for the kind hospitality you showed us during our recent stay at Vista Alegre. The apartment was spotless and we really appreciated the welcome pack on arrival. You did a great job of anticipating the needs of your guests. Everything inside was of a high standard and very tastefully presented.
Vista Alegra is best seen in real life. The location is peaceful and relaxing, set in the hills. Ibi, just a 15 minute walk away, was charming. A great place for a stroll and coffee al fresco and a good array of shops.
We really enjoyed spending time in the swimming pool every afternoon. It was so inviting. And a stroll through the pine forest is something not to be missed.
The weather was beautiful and the scenery was lovely. We had a very relaxing time.

Vista Alegre was such a great holiday.
Carol and I were delighted with our large cool room, facilities and all the info you provided.
Your pix hardly do justice to the swimming pool and walks within the 14 acres of your property.
We'd strongly recommend anyone who'd like to get a flavour of the REAL Spain to stay...IBI is a delightful market town just a fifteen to twenty minute walk across the valley.
The local restaurants were excellent and truly excellent value...not to mention those ice cream and coffee shops...and the local market and fashion stores made someone very happy...
We enjoyed exploring...empty motorways! ... To really interesting places!
Thoroughly recommend Vista Alegre as a TOTALLY relaxing experience.

I have stayed at Vista Alegre several times and it is a delightful haven in the summer and the winter.
The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the swimming pool and its surrounds are welcoming in hot weather, it is enchanting to lie in the pool and be surrounded by wonderful views of forests and hills.
The grounds are safely enclosed but are spacious enough to go for walks or play hide and seek or football.
There are plenty of markets, restaurants and places of interest within a reasonable distance of Vista Alegre and it is served by an excellent road system which is not so busy that the noise intrudes.
Vista Alegre is a place to relax, chill out and recharge your batteries.

Dear Vista Alegre
We are writing to say how much we enjoyed our stay at Vista Alegre. We loved walking among the olive and almond trees and got much pleasure from our visits to the town. The apartments are very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a really great holiday.
