This renovated farmhouse is situated in the centre of the Penedes wine region, close to Barcelona. Equipped with luxury rooms and suites, a big swimming pool, gardens, terraces, great views and even its own little church, it is a perfect destination not only for bed and breakfast but also for private celebrations and weddings. Its facilities cater for small groups as well as bigger groups of up to 100 people, and it boasts a 200m2 cellar and excellent kitchen amenities. Mas Xipres has 2 rooms and 2 suites, all charming and rustic in their style, and the farmhouse is wonderfully secluded, close only to nature and a few small villages. |

The farmhouse is situated in the Penedes wine region and sits in a little village. It is a perfect location because it is blessed with natural peace and seclusion but it is also close to Barcelona and some of Spain’s most wonderful sights. The beaches of Barcelona and Sitges are definitely worth a visit, as are some of the region’s many wine bodegas, including the Penedes Winery. Barcelona itself has many magnificent things to see and experience, from art and architecture to the shopping and nightlife. It is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The famous monastery at Montserrat is a must-see, and if you want a bit more activity, then there are 4 golf courses within 45 minutes and you are only an hour and a half from the skiing in the Pyrenees. |

Getting There:
| Mas Xipres is 10 minutes’ drive from Villafranca. The farmhouse is 30 minutes’ drive from the beaches of Sitges and Vilanova, 40 minutes’ drive from the centre and airport of Barcelona and 10 minutes’ drive from Montserrat.
From Barcelona Airport follow the Lleida A2 (not the toll) in the direction of Igualada. After 50km, take the exit for Villafranca del P (C15). After 10km, take the exit for Canaletes (Cabrera d’Igualada) Mediona towards St Joan de Mediona. At the next T junction keep going towards St Joan de Mediona. After 500m you will drive into the village of St Pere Sacarrera. After 100m there is a little school on the right and opposite is our masia.
From Villafranca, take the first exit at the roundabout towards Barcelona/Igualada. Then take the next exit following the signs for Igualada. Carry on over the next 2 roundabouts. After a while you will see the Montserrat. After 15 km you pass a tunnel and then you take the exit for Canaletes (Cabrera d’Igualada) Mediona.

The farmhouse has 2 rooms in the main house both of which have a large bed and a luxury bathroom with separate shower and bath. Room I has a splendid view from the window and sleeps up to 3 people, whereas Room II sleeps 2 people. Suite I, which can sleep up to 4, is situated next to the house with a luxury bathroom and lovely views. Suite II, which sleeps 3, is also situated next to the main house and has gorgeous views over Penedes. The rooms are delightfully furnished, the beds are comfortable and the bathrooms and luxurious.

Outside the masia, there are extensive and attractive grounds. There are gardens with amazing views and lots of private little nooks, a selection of terraces all around the house for sunbathing, reading or enjoying a glass of locally produced wine, and a large swimming pool for cooling off in. There is also a tiny private church on the property, which is a truly unique feature, and a BBQ for days out in the sun.
