Camarasa, on the bank of the river, holds within its boundaries important prehistoric excavation sites as well as the ruins of a roman bridge and part of an Arabic castle. The whole Noguera area, set between the foothills of the Montsec Mountains and the flatlands of Lleida where the Segre and Noguera Ribagorçana rivers meet, is full of contrasts. Whatever the season, there is always plenty for everyone to do here, from meandering along the mountain trails to visiting ancient monasteries or enjoying a variety of water sports on the Lake of Camarasa.

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation
From the village you can walk for hours along mountain tracks to hidden hermitages, caves and ancient deserted villages. Half an hour’s drive can take you high up into the Pyrenees to ridge walks with panoramic views of snow-capped peaks. Lovers of art and architecture will find in the Noguera many examples of its rich history such as monasteries, churches, paintings, sculptures, crypts, and castles. With the peaceful waters of its lakes and reservoirs, the mountains and the plain, the Noguera offers endless opportunities for sport and adventure in the heart of natural surroundings. Camarasa itself has a fascinating medieval history, and all around there are places of interest, from Os de Balaguer, an ancient town dominated by the castle of Os, to the Monastery of Bellpuig de les Avellanes, the district of Les Avellanes, full of tiny villages, and the impressive Valley of Ager. This whole area is renowned for its rich history, architecture and gastronomy.

What visitors have said about Ca La Daina

Setting out in the freezing misty fog, a light snowfall covering our footsteps with silence, then as we climbed out of the village to the next valley the sun broke through to clear blue skies and high peaks topped with snow. Then back to delicious dinner and chatting late into the night, didn’t want to leave and will definitely go back.
Betty and Geoff

Cosy dinners with friends with good food, wine and roaring log fire.......late breakfast with white chocolate croissants from an area renowned bakery and coffee...followed by walks under crisp blue skies and mist through rocky mountain landscape and hoar frosts making a secret of the landscape and silence. What could be better to rest and recover.
Brenda and Mike

We found this a place of healing and rejuvenation, late breakfasts of croissants and coffee on the roof terrace looking out over rivers and craggy mountains, reading and lazing, the hours just melted away and then lazily down to the pool lots of cool refreshing swimming and lounging and sunbathing, back early evening for sangria on the roof terrace and watching the swifts dipping and diving, heaven!
Poppy and Amanda

Perfect for partying and sleeping! There is also a river and a pool nearby which is a good midday attraction! The attic room is a wicked chillout room where you can sunbathe on the roof or simply put some music on and lounge around. Also a great space for doing dance and arty things drawing and mosaics. Soon there will be a kitchen installed in the attic which will be great for big meals with friends.
