The house has been divided in two units. Each unit houses six people. The advantage of this is that a large group of people who are holidaying togetyher, be they family or friends, can maintain a bit of independence from each other, while still being close by, but the farmhouse can just as easily cater for two entirely separate groups. There is also a separate barn which has been recently restored and converted to a games room (with a full sized table tennis table) which is available for you to use at any time. |

The farmhouse is in a very quiet hamlet so you will get the real feel of rural Spain during your stay. Comillas is 3km away; a busy market town stuffed with antiques shops, bars, restaurants and a magnificent beach. Santillana del Mar is nearby and is famous for its caves. Santander is less than a 30 minute drive. Oyambre Park has superb silver sand and miles of dunes. Or you could walk La Ruta del Cares in Asturias, an energetic 25km return walk! The very well known Picos de Europa range is only a 40 minute drive. If you like walking and eating, you will never be short of things to do! If you come in winter and like skiing, Alto Campo is about one hour from the house and has 18 slopes. And if golf is your thing, there’s a 9 hole coastal course only 15 minutes from the house, and an 18 hole course in San Vicente de la Barquera (20 minutes from the house) which was created in 2001 by Seve Ballesteros! |

Getting There:
| If flying you need to go to Santander / Bilbao which are both about 40km from the house. If flying from the UK, there are lots of options with the budget airlines. If arriving by ferry, Brittany ferries go from Plymouth to Santander twice a week, and P&O go from Portsmouth to Bilbao twice a week. |

The house has a large garden of more than 1000m2 and your own private terrace (one for each unit). The southern terrace is covered, the northern terrace has stunning views to the garden and surrounding fields. Aportable bbq is provided for those al fresco meals.

Included in the price is a linen and bed change once a week. Extra maid service can be booked on request. Also included is a box of Rioja wine, to get you in the holiday spirit! Discounts available for two week bookings (except in July and August).
