General Info |
|
| |
Juseu is a traditional village (with approximately 40 permanent inhabitants) at the foot of the Spanish Pyrenees in the Ribagorza region in the province of Huesca, Aragon. The village is located on a rocky outcrop at a height of about 800m (2500 feet), with magnificent views in all directions. Casa Milan provides a starting point for many long walks in an area of great natural beauty and sublime peace and quiet. There are centuries-old, easy footpaths leading to other villages, Romanesque churches and sometimes abandoned monasteries. (Juseu lies on the pilgrimage route GR-18. The Mediterranean mountain landscape, with its many almond and olive trees, varies from gently undulating to steep rocky slopes. The little mountain rivers offer many opportunities for bathing. There is a public swimming pool in Torres del Obispo at 5 km distance. Within a 15-minutes’ drive, you can also find swimming facilities in the Joaquin Costa lake. |

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|

Year round sunshine means that in winter the temperature can rise to 20 degrees (C) in the daytime, but at night there can be some frost. The summers are warm (approximately 30 degrees) and dry, but thanks to the 800 m height, there is almost always a light breeze. In summer you can sit outside almost every evening and enjoy the breathtaking starry sky. Excursions - Within a one-hour's drive (60 km) lies Benasque-Cerler, a winter sports resort where skiing is possible until about April. In the summer months, one can make high mountain trips in this area. You can also hike in the national nature reserves Ordesa and Posets Maladeta. Maps of these areas are available. Near to Panillo (± 25 km) is the Tibetan Buddhist temple "Dag Shang Kagyu". A program of this Tibetan monastery is available on the Internet. Meditations and other parts of the program are open to the public upon application. These are just a few examples of a hugely diverse and interesting part of Spain... |

Thank you for building this great place for us to enjoy! The surrounding landscapes are magnificient and we were so lucky that we could come here to try to capture the beauty in our Art. I feel great this morning after my session with Gilles.
This has been a magical place for all of us and we will all take a little piece of Juseu back with us in our hearts. Thank you so much for making it all possible, for helping us out along the way. It has been great to meet you all and I hope to come back some day.

You guys created an amazing place here and we have been very fortunate to be able to absorb that the way we did the last two weeks. It has filled us with so much positive energy! Thanks so much for making this a possibility.

You have created a place of peace. A refuge from the pace of modern life in a magical and spiritual setting and I thank you for making it available to us and all those that are fortunate enough to come here. It will take time to absorb all that I have seen, felt and learned so it will stay with me for a lifetime. I hope that our paths cross again!
