Getting There:
| La Era is easily reached from Malaga via the A-357 direction Cartama. After about twenty minutes on this road you will find a sign on your right indicating Casarabonela, Alozaina on the A - 354. Turn left onto this road and after 10 to 15 minutes turn right towards Casarabonela, before actually going into the village (A - 7275) and after the Peugeot Garage you will find on your right the first of six signs towards La Era. They will lead you to a dirt road (in good condition) and to two steep climbs. Whether you are coming from the Malaga Airport or Marbella via the N-340 the prior roads are the same to reach La Era. From Sevilla or Granada the approach should be made via the A-92 first and later the A-382 to Campillos which connects with the A-357 direction Malaga and again reaching the A-354 into Casarabonela. |

What visitors have said about Villa La Era |
| |
| |
We rented the villa as a family group to attend a wedding nearby. We all immediately felt at home. It is set high up overlooking the pretty town of Casarabonela, which after dark looks magical. The rooms are spacious and beautifully laid out and decorated. Each room has amazing views across the mountains. There is a lovely quiet and relaxing living room also with stunning views and a large dining room with a patio area with views across to the town. The kitchen and laundry room are very well equipped. The owner filled the pool early for us (May). It was a bit chilly but made for some bracing swims!
The villa is a five minuet drive, down fairly steep rough roads, to the town which has all the amenities.
We had a very relaxing, peaceful holiday. We would certainly reccommend La Era to people wanting to get away from the conventional image of the Coast del Sol. It is an excellent base for exploring the 'real' Spain.
