The large cortijo, Spanish for luxury farmhouse, is very suitable for large groups or families and has an open kitchen with an open fire and a dining table of 6 meters long, which easily seats all the guests. It takes only a 15 minutes walk to the town of Constantina, which has been declared a place of historical and artistic heritage. This area is famous for its lovely towns, its large estates with horses and bulls and slopes full of trees that give shade to the cattle. Here you will find the perfect surroundings for a quiet relaxing holiday with great possibilities for walks, horse riding, boat trips and bike tours. |

Villa Estrella is located on a hill at approximately 1km to the town of Constantina, the capital of the Sierra Norte. This charming traditional white town with its typical Andalucian architecture still bears a clear print of its interesting past with its Arab Fortress and its Moorish village better known as La Moreria. There is a variety of good restaurants and tapas bars offering the traditional dishes of the area. There is a daily market for fish, meat and vegetables and some small supermarkets. There are lots of places to visit within one hour’s drive. Seville: one of the loveliest cities of Spain with a great historical interest. Cordoba : interesting city with the amazing Mezquita. The Roman ruins of Itálica. Surrounding villages of Cazalla, El Pedroso, Guadalcanal. Sport activities include excellent walking and horseriding. The Finca Villa Estrella consists of a main house, a keepers cottage and two former wine bodegas. The main house has been tastefully renovated maintaining its Andalucian style mixing traditional style with all the comforts of modern living. On the ground floor there is the salon from where a wooden stair leads to the library. The fully equipped kitchen & dining room is partly separated from the salon and has a large twenty seat wooden table and an open fire. This is the perfect place to enjoy eating together with a big group of friends or family. The kitchen is very well equipped and suitable for preparing all kind of meals. The main house has six bedrooms and five bathrooms and the separate apartment has one bedroom with ensuite bathroom (total maximum 18 persons).

The main house is surrounded by terraces on different levels, where you can relax in the shade or the sun and enjoy the views. Coming down the stairs you will find on the lower terrace a solar heated and fenced pool as well as a summer kitchen. The heated pool is child friendly (fenced) and is surrounded by a rose garden and terraces on different levels, including a covered terrace with summer kitchen and BBQ. The terrace surrounding the pool is made of natural stone and equipped with comfortable extension chairs and umbrellas. For your convenience it also has a shower and toilet.

From the main road there is a track of 300m to the main gate of the villa. A walking trail starts in front of the house and there are 3 different trails to reach the village (the shortest 15 minutes and the longest 2 hours, called the chestnut trail). Andalucia is famous for many things: its great Islamic architecture, its lovely food and wines, its passionate flamenco music and the pretty, white villages with their fiesta loving inhabitants. This is the place for those who like to travel off the beaten track and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside, but with a good choice of cultural highlights nearby.

€ 10 per person for bedlinen & towels and final cleaning €250. The keepers apartment for 3 persons can only be rented as extension of the main house. WIFI and cellphone coverage available. Heating: fireplaces, floor heating on ground floor and the bedrooms & bathrooms are fitted with radiators. Extra cleaning services and catering are available upon request. Pool towels are provided. The property still has an agricultural function and in some periods there will be sheep in the olive groves on the property. These are taken care of by Andres, the housekeeper, who lives in the village. At 200m distance Casa Grande has a restaurant or can serve meals on request. On request the small apartment in the bodega can be rented too, which is suitable for three. It is situated on the ground floor and completely independent with living room with open kitchen.
