15 minutes from Malaga airport, but not on the flightpath, Rancho del Ingles nestles peacefully in the foothills, just outside the small, busy town of Alhaurin de la Torre. It's well situated for driving to the coast and inland destinations such as Granada, with its magnificent Alhambra and gardens, the old hillside village of Mijas, famous for its spectacular views of the coast and Ronda with its medieval bridge spanning a 500 ft gorge. Seville can be reached within two hours by car or train. The local town is about 20 mins walk, or a few mins drive and provides bars, restaurants and cafes, tennis, open markets and shopping. Malaga, often overlooked, is close and has much to offer including the new Picasso museum, the cathedral and the Alcazaba. Aquapark, a water amusement park, Seaworld, Crocodile Park and Plaza Mayor with cafes, shops and a cinema showing English films, and an 18 hole golf course are all within short driving distance. |

What visitors have said about Rancho del Inglés |

David & Miyuka could not have made ourselves more welcome. Their individual understated passions for providing comfortable and exciting accommodation is overridden by the on-going nature of stunning architectural and heritage salvation that drives David particularly, day to day. Simply they both live & breathe the concept of The Ranchos Del Ingles. If you have no soul then you wouldn't understand, if you do have; you then you really cant forget them on any level?; You book, you pay and you enjoy beyond your expectations. We love & adore them. The landscaping is an ever evolving project, that should be enjoyed year to year, season to season, xxx

I stayed at the rancho for a family wedding, and I can't imagine a more perfect setting for this important occasion. I was fortunate enough to stay in one of the newly refurbished rooms and it was just so beautiful and so nicely finished. I especially loved the amazing bathroom with it's giant antique wood counter and pebbled shower floor. I felt like I was at a spa!
The catering for the wedding was incredible. The food was professionally prepared, very delicious, and beautifully presented. The family that runs the rancho were all so friendly and helpful and gave us some great travel advice for the region.
I would absolutely stay at the rancho again.... in fact I wish I could be there right now!

We had 10 magical days at the Rancho with our 2 young daughters - a crawler and a walker - plus mother-in-law and nephew. The accommodation is extremely flexible and suits different size groups extremely well. During our stay in the main house (where 2 of the bedrooms have the benefit of air-conditioning which was great for the children), there were other small groups staying either on a bed & breakfast basis or self-catering in the other units on the property. The pool is shared by everyone but this makes for a convivial atmosphere and our children enjoyed the attention of the other guests! The properties are dotted around in a beautiful acre or so of exquisite gardens with little hide-aways and wonderful vistas around every corner. Each day we discovered something quirky, interesting and eye-catching on the property. The Rancho is so easy to find and a quick drive from Malaga airport. We ate out in the local town which offered great tapas and truly spectacular ice cream parlours. But what really made our holiday so special was the boundless charm, enthusiasm and friendliness of David, Miyuki, Cameron and Millie all of whom in different and various ways made our stay even more enjoyable. In particular, if David and Miyuki's daughter, Millie, happens to be around, she is a very talented chef and provided a catered evening meal on 3 occasions - bliss! There is no doubt at all that we shall be returning. And as soon as possible!

We had a lovely night here after we arrived in Malaga. It was easy to find from the airport and extremely comfortable for our family of four. Everything was had a very fresh and clean feel coupled with a quirky eclectic array of antiques and architectural pieces. David greeted us on late arrival, around 11 pm and then took our two boys for a lift in his golf cart to explore the ranch the following morning. He even led us to the town on our way out so that we wouldn't get lost. We hope to return soon! Thank you.

Both you and David provided that rare thing, which is priceless - good company and good humour - which provided a wonderful wonderful context for the celebrations. The weird thing was how effortless it all felt and how you both fitted in like lost pieces of a jigsaw. Many thanks for all your help and implicitness about managing a large family - an Indian one at that.
Hopefully see you both in the future. I look forward to the Coriander and Mangoes - sounds like the name of a book play. I'm at Vienna airport waiting for my connection to Peking so had the good opportunity to email you.
