Palacete de Cázulas has been painstakingly restored into an outstanding country residence which is easily able to accommodate up to 32 guests (20 in the main house in 11 bedrooms & 12 in the 2 cottage annexes). With its own private chapel, it is also an idyllic setting for a wedding, with an al fresco reception in the Moorish gardens. It is also an ideal location for small business conferences and workshops or as a base for special interest groups (artists, yoga, clubs, film schools etc.). The property comprises the mansion where most of the accommodation is located, two separate cottages with three twin bedrooms plus ensuite shower/bathrooms in each, spacious ornamental gardens, private chapel, tennis court, several large terraces, outside summer bar/eating area, 30ft spring fed swimming pool (heating optional for winter/autumn use), separate dining hall (seating capacity 100 persons), all surrounded by magnificent unspoilt views of the hillside and valley. |

The Palacete de Cázulas is a convenient base from which to explore the area or undertake organized sporting or cultural activities. For sightseeing there is Granada with its dramatic Alhambra Palace (1 hour), the ski resort of Sol y Nieve in the Sierra Nevada (1 ½ hours) or the Alpujarra mountains. The coast is only a half hour drive from the property. Those interested in more active pursuits will find a huge choice of local sports, from deep sea diving on the coast to hangliding in the mountains. |

The house has been elegantly and thoughtfully renovated so as to preserve its unique atmosphere and outstanding historical features, including some of the original furniture. Spacious entrance hall with 300 year old Sevilian wall tiles. Downstairs cloakroom, magnificent main drawing room with centre column, vaulted ceiling and original stone fireplace, library with telephone, fax and Wi-Fi internet connection available, day room/TV room with satellite TV, DVD system and VHS, timber panelled dining room with seating for up to 24 persons. Spacious country style kitchen with twin ovens, fridges, freezers, industrial dishwasher, walk in crockery cupboard, laundry, museum/games room with pool table, ground floor bedroom (No. 10) with twin beds and ensuite shower room, inner patio. All other bedrooms are on the first floor, they all have their own bathroom and are sumptuously furnished. There are two 3 bedroom cottages in the grounds which can be rented with the main house or separately.

The ornamental Moorish gardens have been laboriously restored to their former glory offering guests the opportunity to wander or relax in total peace and tranquillity. Surrounded by centuries old palm trees, shady borders and colourful exotic plants. Ancient cypress hedges border an attractive swimming pool that is fed by a natural spring. Optional pool heating is now available by separate arrangement (usually only necessary from November through to April). The hard surface tennis court is located adjacent to the summer bar and terrace. There are several large terraces available. Children's summer house. The main terrace has magnificent views over the valley and the village of Otivar and is a superb sunbathing area!

The Palacete de Cázulas is the ideal location to celebrate your wedding reception in the sun. Something a little different and more special. The main house and annexe cottages can accommodate up to 32 persons. Local accommodation is available for additional guests and there is also a wide selection of hotels in Almuñecar where they can stay after your reception. You have exclusive use of the property throughout your stay .The property is let on a self catering basis with staff available as required. The gardens and terraces can accommodate up to 110 guests comfortably for the reception. The old olive mill is now a dining room with a seating capacity of 100 persons. The Chapel will seat up to 45 and a maximum attendance of 70 persons (the remainder standing). Services can be arranged through independent wedding co-ordinators who will be pleased to quote on all aspects of the day. Costs for weddings depend on the couple's requirements and will be quoted for on request. Makes a change from the standard villa in Andalucia! An airport collection service is available for up to 8 people at a time, and other local collections can be arranged - prices on application.

Rental |
The courtyard cottages are available when the Main House is full. Rental prices are quoted on a self-catering basis and the prices do not include cooking or extra maid service. Extra maid service can be provided at €8 per hour per maid and a cook at €12 per hour. All extra cooking or cleaning packages should be arranged in advance of arrival. Bookings can only be confirmed after we have received a 25% deposit. There is an optional Pool Heating charge of €300 (November to May). At least 2 weeks' notice required. There is a Final Day cleaning charge of €250 applicable to all groups having functions and a €250 laundry charge. There is a winter fuel charge of €250 p/week, applicable November to March. The above extras are payable in cash on arrival. Full Terms and Conditions (The Rental Contract), on how to make payment, what we require as a breakage deposit and our cancellation policy will be provided when you confirm you wish to proceed. Short breaks also available.

Now that we are home again , I should like to take this opportunity on behalf of my wife and myself, our children and grandchildren to tell you how very much we treasured the week we had at Cazulas. Though our expectations were high, I think that for each and everyone of us they were exceeded by the beauty of the home and the surroundings and how perfect they were for our week together. It was an unforgettable week, made so by the home, the staff and the relaxed atmosphere you have created at Cazulas. We have memories we will treasure for years, indeed decades to come.
