General Info |
|

The road network to the village from Almeria and the Autovil del Meditarraneo is excellent and means that exploring the surrounding areas and attractions is very easy, especially as local roads tend to be deserted; a traffic jam is a moped and a donkey - and not necessarily together!
The village is approximately a 40 minute drive from Almeria airport and also a 40 minute drive from the beach resort of Mojacar. It’s an ideal, central location if you want to travel into the spectacular Spanish countryside, spend a day on the beach or take in the cultural attractions of Granada.
Whatever you choose to do with your time, you’ll know that at the end of the day peace and tranquility will be waiting for you back at this villa in Andalucia. |

Exterior Details |
Nestling in the Sierra Filabres mountain range, Uleila del Campo is a typical rural Andalucian rural village where the locals farm the surrounding land, growing olives, almonds and citrus fruits.
There are five bars offering good tapas which can be eaten outside during the high season. There is also a bakery, pharmacy, post office, small supermarket, hardware store and a bank (Cajamar).
A visit to the spectacular church sited at the top of the village, opposite the town hall is well worth a visit.
Friday is market day when the square takes on the appearance of a souk where stalls set up selling everything from fruit and vegetables to espadrilles and ceramics.
A four minute walk from the house will bring you to the village swimming pool, open between July & August.

What visitors have said about Maxwells |
| |
| |
"We had a fantastic holiday in a beautiful house. The area was perfect, the house very comfortable, stylish, and well equipped. I hope to go back.”
Mark, London, Aug 2006
|
"I found this house ideal for a very relaxing and stress free week away from the hustle and bustle. The village is quiet and unspoilt and the pace of life so slow even the hands on the church clock are set in stone. On arrival the house is of similar appearance to the surrounding traditional whitewashed buildings but, on entering, the accommodation is modern, spacious, clean and well furnished. The two terraces allowed complete freedom to relax in the sun while maintaining complete privacy. The local shop was well stocked and everything was provided in the house for a stress free stay. I have already arranged to go back for a longer stay. "
Chris, Swindon, May 2008

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The views from the terrace across the village and the surrounding countryside were magnificent. It was good to experience the real Spain but at the same time be within easy reach of the coast and historic sites such as Granada. A great place to chill out. We will be back.”
