  General Info
Downstairs is an open plan kitchen/ dining room with a washing machine and a good sized fridge. This leads into a very comfortable sitting room with 2 sofas, lots of books and games and a wood burner for those chilly winter evenings. Beyond the living room there is a downstairs bedroom for children (used to be the mule stable!) and beyond that a bathroom (used to be the pig shed!) with a shower. You can also enjoy secluded " al fresco" dining in the plant-filled back patio. Upstairs is a huge and beautiful bedroom with a big double bed where you can lie in the mornings with the sun streaming through the French windows and look out over the church spire and terracota rooftops. There is a large en-suite bathroom with a tub, and leading off the bedroom is a fabulous sun terrace with sweeping views up and down the valley.

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation
Cortes de la Frontera is an attractive town set into a powerful range of limestone hills which look out over a gently sloping valley of olive groves, pasture and oak trees. It is a mecca for walkers as it borders onto 2 huge nature reserves - Grazalema and Los Alcornocales. As there is no cultivation in this area the spring flowers are quite outstanding. Historically there are a number of places of interest - the oldest being a Paleolithic ( 25,000 years old) cave dwelling with rudimentary cave paintings. Or a hidden church of rock from the 9th Century where Christians were able to worship their God in secret. There is a charming local train which chugs through the valley and can take you to Ronda for lunch, or as far as Granada if you choose!

Interior Facilities CD Player / Cot / Highchair / Linen provided / Log Fire / Washing Machine

Interior Details Ours is not an extravagant property and for that reason we have kept the technology to a minimum. There is internet access in the village, but no TV as we feel part of being on holiday is disconnecting and making time for reading good books.

Exterior Facilities BBQ / Courtyard / Garden Furniture / Terrace

Exterior Details The back patio is ideal for the hot summer months as it stays in the shade for most of the day. It also has a nicely tucked away feeling. The sun terrace upstairs has a parasol and sunloungers ( of course) and also a small table with a couple of chairs where you can enjoy breakfast/ sundowners/ card games etc.......

Further Details Because of the age of the villa in Andalucia the staircase is quite steep and narrow so is not suitable for the elderly or those with mobility problems.
