  Do you crave the genuine, old-fashioned side of Spain, where the people, the culture, the weather, the food and the whole way of life meld into something virtually unrecognisable from life in Britain? If, like us, you do, then the middle of Andalucía, far away from the tourist resorts, is the place to experience it first-hand. If you’re looking for somewhere that’ll serve you an English breakfast with a copy of the Sun then this is not the place for you! However, this house is the perfect size and location for people who want peace, quiet and relaxation but also those who want easy access to the beach, the lovely local towns and the many activities, from horse riding to skiing, which are available in the area.  
 
  Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation  
  The house is perfectly situated in a friendly little hamlet which sits between two towns where you can find bars, restaurants, shops, swimming pools and markets. It is also only a few miles from the mediaeval town and lake of Iznajar, which has its own beach and makes the perfect day trip whether you want to explore or sunbathe. Antequera and Lucena are the two largest towns in the area, each with a wealth of history and attractions, and not much further afield are the beaches of Malaga, the World Class golf course at Antequera, the ski-slopes of the Sierra Nevada, and the lagoon at Fuente de Piedra, where 16,000 flamingoes stop over annually on their way to Africa. Whether you want to be active and explore the countryside on foot, bike or horse, or you want to immerse yourself in local culture by enjoying the wildlife, the history and the gastronomy, this is an idyllic holiday destination.

  Interior Details The house has 4 bedrooms (3 double, 1 twin) and a double sofa bed, so there is comfortable sleeping space for 10 people. The lounge is cool, comfortable and quiet, the kitchen is newly refurbished in a rustic Spanish style and the dining room has a mahogany dining table and traditional Andalucían chairs. There are also 2 bathrooms and the house is has plenty of entertainment features, from an iPod dock and CD player to a selection of books, magazines and board games.

  Exterior Details The house has a beautiful inner covered courtyard with a Moorish styled fountain as well as an upper courtyard and a private walled garden. The garden is bursting with almonds, grapes, lemons, prickly pear and figs, and the house is surrounded by olive groves for miles in every direction.  
 
  Further Details The kitchen is equipped with a 4 ring halogen hob, a microwave, a juicer and a toaster. Be aware that both flights of stairs in the house are steeper than you would normally find in Britain and in places you may have to duck! Also be careful of the water in the fountain when children are staying. A weekly maid service can be arranged for stays of longer than 7 nights. All linen and towels are provided, except pool/beach towels. A welcome pack is included which contains tea, coffee, cereal, pasta, milk, bread, fruit, oranges (for juice) and water.

Rental
Changeover day is normally Saturday but please email if you would like to discuss this. Check-in is usually after 2pm and check-out is before 10am. Children under 5 stay free and a cot is available. A booking deposit of 10% or £50 (whichever is greater) is required and the balance must be paid at least 3 weeks before arrival. A damages deposit of £100 is also necessary.
