Your holiday house in Slovakia could be in one of those villages, or in a chalet higher up, where you could have instant access to the ski slopes and higher hiking trails. A wonderful place to visit in any season – though be warned that in high summer and winter seasons the trails can be very crowded. But if you climb further than you might need to in some of Slovakia’s other mountains, you’ll get a bit all to yourself.
