The Beer Moth |
Aviemore, Highlands, Scotland |
|
| |
| |
One-off feature |
|
| |
The Beer Moth is a wonderfully unique truck conversion, kitted out with all the home comforts you could want while still being the most unusual place you will probably ever have stayed. Once a 1956 Conmer Q4, the truck is now a cosy den in the heart of the Cairngorms. |

General Info |

Walter, who also created the yurt at Inshriach, rescued the truck from the Manston Fire Museum in Kent a while back and he has now completely revolutionised it. The furnishings are refreshingly strange, from the oak parquet floor to the fire escape which acts as a staircase. The truck sits in a secluded spot on the Inshriach estate, deep in the breathtakingly beautiful Cairngorms. This is the perfect place to snuggle up with a loved one after a day of exploring all the sensational countryside right on your doorstep. |

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation |
|
| |
This area is heaven for outdoors enthusiasts. We have done courses in yurt making, woodworking and bushcraft down on the farm - if you would like to run courses like this please get in touch. For the more outward bound we recommend either G2 or Full on Adventure, who offer everything from white water rafting or canoe descents of the Spey to climbing, zip lining, river tubing, biking and ski touring. There are some great walks straight out from Inshriach, Loch an Eilean and Glen Feshie are an easy hike from the house and for the more determined, the Argyll stone gives spectacular views down Glen Einich and into the Cairngorms. The Cairngorm ski area is 10 miles away, Rothiemurchus estate offers all sorts of activities from mountain bike hire to clay pigeon shooting, and Alvie Estate have a riding school and can also offer falconry, clay pigeon shooting and archery. Sailing, canoeing, kayaking, windsurfing and fishing are available on both Loch Morlich and Loch Insh. |

Outside the truck is a barbeque made out of a truck wheel - you would need to bring some charcoal if you don’t feel like cooking on wood. Other than that there are just miles and miles of tranquil countryside stretching out around you.
