  This holiday house in Scotland is situated in its own private grounds in the small crofting settlement of Blarmafoldach. The location has all the joys of the countryside yet is conveniently located only 3 miles from the Fort William town centre. Brae Mhor Cottage is newly built in 2005. It is bright and airy and has all the facilities you may need on your holiday. The accommodation on the ground floor consists of a kitchen/diner, sitting room, en-suite bedroom, utility room and a small cloakroom w.c. The first floor contains two bedrooms and a bathroom with a spacious gallery area. Brae Mhor Cottage has been approved by VisitScotland and has been graded as four star accommodations.

  Fort William, the Outdoor Capital of the UK has a wide variety of activities to enjoy - there's something for everyone. Nevis Range is a year round tourist destination with skiing in the winter months, plenty of tracks for mountain biking and walking. Visit Glen Nevis, famous for its natural beauty where Braveheart and Rob Roy were filmed. Enjoy a trip down Loch Linnhe to Seal Island to observe a colony of seals in their home environment or take wildlife/historical cruises from Glenfinnan and Acharacle on beautiful Loch Shiel. For those interested in castles, there are the ruins of old Inverlochy Castle. Glenfinnan itself is well worth a visit. There is a variety of outdoor activities including mountain biking, canyoning, climbing, paintballing, karting and 4x 4 offroading. There is also plenty to do in the area when the weather is inclement (as it occasionally is...) – from museums and indoor ice climbing to steam trains and distilleries!

  Getting There: This holiday house in Scotland is ideally situated in a rural location with spectacular views of Ben Nevis yet only 3 miles from Fort William town centre. The nearest airports are Inverness (64 miles) and Glasgow (104 miles). It’s easy to hire a car from both of these airports. There is a train service to Fort William (visit Scotrail website for details). If arriving by car, Follow the roundabout at the West End of Fort William town centre around and take a left at the sign for Upper Achintore. Follow this road straight up the hill for a mile or so and you will come to a single track road. Carry up this single track road for 2.5 miles and you will pass a red telephone box on your left hand side. Continue on a few hundred yards past and you come to Brae Mhor Cottage on your left hand side.

  Interior Details The kitchen is bright and airy and fully fitted with an oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave, and dishwasher. The dining area is within the kitchen and has French doors leading out onto the garden. The cosy sitting room has spectacular views of Ben Nevis and is furnished with a leather suite and all mod cons such as Sky TV, DVD player, a Hi-fi and some board games. A selection of DVDs and CDs are available for your use. The ground floor bedroom has a king size bed and en-suite shower room. The two bedrooms upstairs contain zip-link beds which can be used either as twins or together as a superking. The luxurious bathroom contains a bath and a separate shower and has stunning views of the surrounding countryside. At the top of the stairs is a reading area with a large comfy seat and bookcase with a range of books.

Rental
Prices for the holiday house in Scotland include all linen, towels, electricity and heating. All lets are from a Saturday to Saturday. The house will be available from 4pm and must be vacated by 10am on day of departure. £100 deposit on booking, balance to be paid 2 weeks before arrival. Sorry – no pets and no smoking.
