Holiday rentals in Highlands

The Scottish Highlands have without doubt some of the most beautiful and wild terrain on the planet. Giant mountains come sweeping down to silent lochs; wide, open valleys end abruptly in steep winding ravine paths. If you’ve ever seen a car advert where the car is racing through breathtaking green mountain scenery, it was probably filmed in the Highlands. A holiday in the Scottish highlands is a must - holiday rentals are easy to find here and you can cater for your own preferences. If you’re an avid outdoor fan then you can find your holiday in the Scottish highlands close to most of the big ‘Bens’, if escape is more on the agenda, you can find holiday rentals alongside remote lochs that are way off the beaten track.

More about your Highlands holiday...

Alternatively, in the winter you can find your holiday in the Scottish highlands close to the ski runs of Aviemore in the Cairngorms and sample some piste ‘British’ style. For the amateur geologist, the Highlands are a dream. The whole area was under ice not so long ago (in geologist speak) and it was the glaciers that carved out this incredible scenery. And because of the inaccessibility of much of the land, you’ll have unspoilt views all around you. But stunning as the scenery is, the Highlands do have a lot more on offer. A holiday in the Scottish highlands in any of the larger cities and towns will give you a great starting point for exploring the area. Inverness, Perth, Oban – to name a few – and also let you discover a bit more about the history in the region. A trip to Balmoral is worth it for a cuppa with the Queen and of course, you’ll need to put aside some time for your Nessie hunt at Loch Ness. Finally, and certainly not least, you’ll be able to sample the ‘real thing’ in terms of malt whiskeys that will be on offer in all the local pubs. A holiday in the Scottish Highlands is out there and waiting for you to discover it.
