Casa Rouxinol is located in the unspoilt rural beauty of Serra dos Mangues. There are wonderful walks just outside the front gate. The historic towns such as Alcobaca, Obidos, Sintra are within easy reach. The surfing beaches of Peniche and Baleal are nearby as are the golf courses of Praia del Rey and Rio Maior. There is a riding stable in Alfeizerao, 5 minutes away. There are also many sites for hang-gliding on the hills nearby. There is always a gentle breeze which makes it more comfortable and pleasant. |

| The nearest airport is Lisbon where there are many car hire companies. Although it is very advisable to have a car during your stay there is a very good bus service from Sao Martinho do Porto to various interesting towns and of course to Lisbon. |

The apartment has its own entrance into a spacious hallway. There is a large comfortable sitting/dining room with a kitchenette. The kitchen is fully fitted and has a fridge, electric oven and gas hob. The property comprises 1 large double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room and a double bed sleeping alcove. There is a large bathroom with a separate bath and shower cubicle. There is also another small WC. In the sitting room there is satellite TV in both German and English and, of course, Portuguese. There is a DVD player with some DVDs for use.

In the mature gardens there is a natural private pool, fed by the property's well. There are ample sun loungers, tables, chairs and parasols. The BBQ and bread oven is available for guests' use with prior notification to the owners.

Further Details |
Sao Martinho has a daily open market and Caldas da Rainha has a very large market on Monday selling everything from a pan to a stove to a tomato. Obidos has an antique market on the first Sunday of the month. It also hosts a medieval festival for one week in July, an opera season in August, a Christmas festival in December and a chocolate festival in February. Alcobaca has a sweets/liquors festival using old recipes from the convents for 4 days in the monastery in November. Lisbon is only an hours drive away and is a beautiful old town full of interesting places to visit.

To secure a booking we will require a deposit of 100 euros. Full payment must be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival. No refund is payable should the reservation be cancelled within 3 weeks notice.
Tenants are requested to arrive after 4pm and to vacate the apartment at 11am.
