What visitors have said about Casa Moinho

Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our stay at your villa.  The villa exceeded our expectations and the setting was lovely.  Jocquim was really helpful especially in trying to sort out the T.V.  We would not hesitate in recommending your villa to friends. regards Gill Abraham

Our family stayed in this property a couple of years back - I'm obviously looking because I would like to go back. If you want an authentic Portuguese holiday and to be part of village life then visit here and go to the resturant up the hill. The local town is superb, friendly and accomodating. The local market is both interesting and authentic. Most places of interest can be reached in a day ; everything you could need can be got in the next town down the hill. Up in the hills the views are superb with other interesting properties nearby. Maid service was reliable, friendly and efficient. I can't say enough good words about this place - loved it, loved the lifestyle, loved the restaurant and the owners were wonderful. If you like birds and bees you'll love it even more - I saw a regular visitor hummingbird hawkmoth feeding on the flowers by the pool amongst other unusual visitors. The quiet evenings are punctuated only by late birds and early insects calling to each other. The lack of steet lighting makes all of the night sky a joy to behold.

"This was the nicest property we have stayed in for a long time! The house was superb and surpassed all our expectations - there was everything you could possibly need in this beautiful house. The location is perfect and the scenery is breath taking with views of the mountains and valleys. The pool was excellent and the house was mainted very well with a maid service every 3/4 days. The people in Monchique are very friendly especially where we picked the keys up from! We plan to go back to Monchique and we will definitely book the same accommodation - this places feel like home when you are there!!"
