  General Info
Prcanj is a quiet village located near Kotor (formerly Cattaro), the oldest and most spectacular town in Montenegro. Kotor is a medieval, walled town, first colonized by Greeks in the 3rd cent. BC and was later part of the Roman and Byzantine empires, before being passed to Austria in 1797, and then to Montenegro. Today, the town offers restaurants, cafés, banks and cash machines, market (fresh fish, fruit, vegetables), shops and supermarkets in an unrivalled setting. There is a traditional restaurant/guesthouse ‘Bokeljski Dvori’ a two minute walk away from the house, offering excellent local cuisine at reasonable prices. The four-star hotel ‘Splendido’ is next to the beach and has an attractive pool-side bar and a restaurant.

Details on the area surrounding the property/accommodation
The nearest beach is a 3 minute walk downhill from the house. This pebbly beach has a gentle slope which is very popular with children and good for snorkelling. Some guests prefer to use the swimming pool at Hotel Splendido (next to the beach) - the hotel charges a small fee per person per day (children go free) and the charge includes sunbeds and parasols. Sandy beaches ‘Plavi Horizonti’, ‘Jaz’, ‘Milocer’, ‘Przno’ and ‘Trsteno’ are all half an hour to one hour drive away. Kotor is 4km away, Dubrovnik about 70km away. You can take boat tours from Kotor out to a nearby island. Lovcen, the second highest mountain in Montenegro overlooks Kotor and is well worth a visit as the views from the top are stunning!

Exterior Facilities Balcony / BBQ / Garden / Terrace

Exterior Details The house is surrounded by a spacious mature front garden and a fruit/vegetable garden at the back. There is no fence between our garden and next door (the owner’s aunt) garden and there is a paved courtyard with orange trees in between the 2 houses. (Our guests are not expected to use the neighbours' garden and vice versa). The terrace at the front of the house offers stunning views and is perfect for dining 'al fresco'. Outdoor furniture (tables, chairs and sunbeds) are provided.

Further Details The house and the garden are perfect for family with children (I used to love spending my summers there when I was a child and now my children love it too!), but there are several staircases in and around the house so one has to be careful with very young children. During the summer months, Montenegro is affected by severe water shortage. The property is not affected by this because it has its' own water reservoir and a fully automatic pump. The property is equipped for winter rentals with heating and electric radiators.

What visitors have said about Villa Nesic

We had a fantastic trip thank you. The house was comfortable and made travelling with a small child very easy. We loved Montenegro and thought it was really beautiful.
Mrs Goodman,  UK,  May 2006

The house was wonderful - we loved sitting on the balcony looking out over the Boka Kotorska. We shall certainly recommend your house and your beautiful country to our friends.
Robinson Family,  UK,  Jun 2007

Your house is in a lovely setting and we particularly enjoyed the superb views from the terrace where we had breakfast(and a few other meals) "al fresco" each day.
Mr and Mrs Brizell,  UK,  Jun 2006

I don't think I've ever been to such a well equipped holiday let. Montenegro is a stunningly beautiful country, and the Bay of Kotor was a good place to start, and your house an ideal location. We will certainly be extolling its virtues to our friends.
McLaughlin family,  UK,  Aug 2008

Your villa so lovely! It was really great vacation. It was the first trip when I didn't want to go home. Thanks a lot.
Mrs Kuzmina,  Russia,  Jun 2010
