Sant'Orsola is situated in the heart of Umbria. We are close to the regional capital Perugia (20 mins) Assisi (35 mins) Todi (20 mins) Orvieta (45 mins). It is possible to catch a train to Rome for a day trip. Our village Schiavo is within walking distance and has three bars and a supermarket. The town of Marsciano is an eight minute drive away and has many good shops and three supermarkets. We are surrounded by many small medieval towns and villages. Lago Trasemeno is 40 minutes away and has beaches and ferry trips to the islands. Throughout the year there are numerous cultural events to be enjoyed such as Umbria Jazz (July) Spoletto Festival (July/August) open air opera/blues concerts throughout the summer. |

Sant'Orsola is well situated for visiting the cultural medieval centres of Umbria such as Perugia, Assisi,Todi and Orvieto. There are a number of good restaurants all within a short drive of the farmhouse. The village, with a supermarket and three bars, is within a five minute walk. Good shopping is available in the local town of Marsciano - an 8 minute drive away. Sant'Orsola is also very close to the famous pottery centre of Deruta. Lake Trasemeno is a 35 minute drive. |

| The house is surrounded by fields yet is only a short drive to all local amenities. To get to the villa in Umbria: From Perugia airport take the Perugia follow the E45 and exit at Marsciano/Collepepe. Take the first unmade road of the right. From Rome, take the GRA,AI and then E45 exiting at Marsciano/Collepepe. More detailed instructions on booking. |

Sant'Orsola villa in Umbria sleeps 10 people comfortably in five en-suite bedrooms.The house has a huge Grand Sala with dining area. This leads onto the terrace which can seat 10 comfortably for al fresco eating. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. There is also a library/television study room where wireless broadband is available.The recently restored chapel with a beautiful fresco (circa 1480) offers a space for reading and quiet contemplation. For groups of more than 10 it is possible to rent an apartment in the grounds.
