La Tenuta is a peaceful, stress-free country estate which produces the grapes for famed wines as well as olive oil, fruit and vegetables. The pretty hamlet of Ville Di Corsano (population 200) is a friendly little place with a small supermarket, a post office and a renowned restaurant, although Siena, the city of the famous Palio di Siena, can be reached in less than 20 minutes by car. The largest of the apartments (Le Carrozze) was used for a fortnight as a set for Renzo Martinelli's 'Five Moons Plaza' starring Donald Sutherland, Giancarlo Giannini, Greg Wise and F.Murray Abraham. Donald Sutherland and Giancarlo Giannini particularly enjoyed the meals, prepared by Liliana, a host with exceptional cooking skills. Cooking classes are available with Liliana, and bookings can be made with her directly during your stay at La Tenuta. |

It is an ideal starting point for day trips in the area, Siena being easily reachable by bus. A feudal manor house dating back to 1199, the castle of Belcaro, is half an hour away, as is Torri, a tiny village with a magnificent cloister in a perfect state of repair. Another abbey not to be missed is San Galgano (less than half an hour away), the oldest example of pure Gothic architecture in Italy. The highlight of the area has got to be the walled city of Siena. It has a fantastic concentration of palaces and art galleries, churches and museums, restaurants and boutiques. The nearby town of Murlo is also well worth a visit for its Etruscan ruins and small museum. A spectacular drive through Asciano will lead you into the heart of the lunar landscape best known as the ‘clay hills’ and onto the famous abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore. |

There are seven apartments which have been carefully and tastefully decorated and furnished with period pieces and antiques. The traditional whitewashed walls offer a contrast to the vibrant, warm colors of Terracotta tiles and wooden fixtures, with a result that is both airy and welcoming.
Each apartment is fully fitted and equipped, with excellent kitchen facilities, modern bathrooms and spacious, comfortable sleeping accommodation. The apartments range in size from one bedroom to three bedrooms, and some have sofa beds to accommodate extra people. The apartments can be rented individually, or as a whole.

This is a delightful spot, the traditional setting of the accommodation set off by the soothing, rural surroundings. Here you can relax by the large and spacious swimming pool (7x14 m) where breakfast can be served every morning, or the gardens, sipping Villa Migone’s own wine and prosecco or sampling some of the local delicacies prepared by Liliana, who can also organize your dinners on request. For many guests the opportunity to relax by the pool, sit with a book under the shade of a fruit tree, or stroll through the grounds is all it takes to make a perfect holiday.

Tenuta di Corsano has belonged to the Migone Family for more than a hundred years. Its origins date back to the seventeenth century. As a working estate, it was the largest in the whole Siena area and nowadays it produces excellent Chianti wines. The setting is romantic and unique, ideal for wedding receptions and banquets, both of which can be organized by the daughter of the owners, Francesca. Cooking Classes are available on request. Shopping and Dining: the closest restaurant and grocery store are in Ville di Corsano, 800 meters away Open Air Market is held in Siena every Wednesday a.m. Guided tours of Florence, Siena, Chianti region and other attractive venues with private guide and driver can be organized on request.

Deposit payable on booking. Please note that a breakage deposit of € 250 will be collected on your arrival at Tenuta di Corsano. Check-in is from 4 p.m. Final cleaning not included (50-80 euros per apartment).

The villa was spacious and elegant a bathroom for each. Private & beautiful. The location is rural with rolling country side . A pleasant walk to the village with a restaurant & shop. The grounds were idylic to stroll around in the evening. It was lovely to watch our young daughter run around freely without a care. The view s are breath taking.
Nothing was too much trouble for the family & staff alike. Nanni & lilliana cooked a meal for a number of guests in the court yard one evening and it cemented the perfect holiday. Lovely food, company of all nationalities and friends made that have lasted long after the holiday has ended.
Sienna is a short car journey away should you wish to explore together with market towns surrounding the location. We loved it all.
I can not stress how absolutely perfect this place is and will suit what ever type of holiday you are looking for.

I have stayed at Tenuta di Corsano three times with friends for summer holiday. We love it there. The Migone family is welcoming and friendly. Nanni, Lilliana, and Francesca always have suggestions regarding sightseeing, shopping, and restaurants. Go! You can relax by the beautiful pool, and you are close enough to Siena, Florence and other historic towns to get in all the sightseeing you desire.

If you are looking for a place to stay while you travel through Tuscany, there is no better one, surrounded by wineries, beautiful landscape, local concerts and fantastic owners. The villa has several separate apartments, so if you are travelling with your family or in a group it is perfect. The Tenuta di Corsano has the best memories of our trip to La Toscana. It’s close to all the cities you want to visit and a wonderful ride through the countryside.
