The house is at the end of a medieval village on the top of a hill. There are many footpaths nearby. Beautiful towns such as Lucca or Pisa or Florence are within an easy drive. Sandy beaches are less than half an hour away. The house is not accessible by car, but by a three minute walk down an ancient cobbled path in the village. Not your average villa in Tuscany - but a village paradise where you will find immense warmth and character. |

The house is on a hill on the border of the Alpi Apuane Park, twenty minutes from Lucca and the sea side, one hour from Florence and Pisa airport. It is in a secluded area, surrounded by olive groves and chestnut woods. The house is 450m above sea level and offers amazing views over the valley of Lucca. The area is teeming with wonderful walking opportunities; beautiful paths between villages and along coast paths, with stunning views of the Carrara marble mountains. You are a short car journey from great beaches and can enjoy numerous day trips to towns such as Lucca, Florence and Pisa, as well as the lesser known but just a beautiful towns! There are two restaurants within walking distance of the village. |

The house has retained many of its original features – ancient terracotta floors, chestnut beams, rustic walls and cosy fireplaces. It is furnished with authentic country furniture and decorated in the ancient colours of Tuscan houses. The kitchen is fully equipped and the three bedrooms are all charming and very comfortable. Each room has a lovely view: two rooms to the olive grove and garden and one to the ancient village. They all have an en suite bathroom. They are furnished with original Tuscan furniture and with an artistic atmosphere. Each bedroom can have a double bed or two single beds.

You can enjoy your meals under the pergola and the olive tree in the garden while you admire the amazing view of the surrounding hills and valleys. You will also find many culinary herbs in the garden so you can add a true Tuscan taste to your meals!

We offer cookery courses for a minimum of four people. The lesson includes a five course meal: antipasto, primo piatto (home made pasta), secondo (meat or fish or vegetarian meal), contorno (seasonal vegetables) , dolce (home baked caked or tiramisù); all ingredients are fresh and local. The cook will show you how to create the most lovely Italian meals: starting with which herbs to pick from the garden, to how to mix the fresh pasta with your hands until you find the right softness. At the end you will enjoy your dinner with a local red or white wine. 60 euros per person per lesson. We also offer watercolour painting courses for 50 euros per day (up to five hours). Minimum of 4 people and 5 days.

Conditions of Rental |
Rental rates for this villa in Tuscany do not include heating. A 300 euro security deposit is required on arrival. Xmas and Easter week are considered mid season. We offer a welcome dinner for 25 euros per person – a fresh and homemade Italian dinner with local red wine included. Extra maid service is possible on request. Discounts available for stays of two weeks or longer outside of high season.
